Madhuri caught me half-naked, claims Hrithik!

Madhuri caught me half-naked, claims Hrithik! Hrithik Roshan has revealed that Madhuri Dixit had caught him half nanga!

On Preity Zinta's show, Duggu went red faced while revealing that during the making of Koyla, Hrithik was just a munna assisting his dad.

After a shower he was draped in a towel and was busy reciting some dialogues on his own, when Mads entered the room.

Thankfully, Duggu didn't drop the towel Ranbir Kapoor style.

Book Madhuri for Rs. 5 Crores

After a long hibernation Madhuri Dixit is all set to make a comeback despite being at the age of 40. However, what’s surprising everyone is that the yesteryear superstar is demanding Rs 5 Crores for a film. The price she is demanding is even more than what today’s ruling divas like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra are commanding.

Book Madhuri for Rs. 5 CroresShe gave her last hit ‘Devdas’ which was eight years ago and the movie was a multi-starrer that had Shahrukh and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan increasing its commercial viability. We can say without any doubt that today also Madhuri has name, fame and huge fan following but still no filmmaker will give her the quoted price. Also another thing to consider here is that her comeback film ‘Aaja Nachle’ in 2007 was a complete box office washout.

It is heard that Mrs. Nene has at least four filmmakers who approached her with scripts but she does not want to negotiate on her remuneration. Her manager Rikku Rakesh Nath revealed, "Yes, Madhuri has asked for five crores. We feel she is definitely worth the price she is quoting. She is a superstar with an enviable fan following even today. So, why shouldn't she ask for what she deserves? We are sure the filmmakers will gain from the fact that Madhuri Dixit is making a film with them."

Taking about Madhuri’s quoted price a trade analyst said, "Who will give Madhuri five Crores now? Though she does have the fan base, she isn't a top actress anymore. She has been out of the industry and the kinds of roles she can do are limited. The roles that she has been approached to play are either sister or mother characters, which she is not too keen to play. She should learn from Amitabh Bachchan. A superstar, who still has roles specially written for him, isn't demanding that his pay cheque match that of Aamir, Salman, Akshay or SRK. Madhuri needs a reality check. In case someone has a particular script in which only she fits, perhaps she will get the high price."

At 43, Madhuri Dixit still casts a spell

At 43, Madhuri Dixit still casts a spell"We had been trying to get Madhuri as a judge for the past two seasons. She has been known as a dancing diva and who better could we have got for a show which is all about perfect dancing," Ajay Bhalwankar, programming head, Sony, told us.

"She has added a lot of freshness to the show and she is an extremely honest judge. In all our four seasons, this season has been the highest TRP earner thanks to Madhuri," he added.

Madhuri's India sojourn is coming to an end with the 'Jhalak...' finale set to take place in the first week of March. But her stay has proved that the graceful actor's charm hasn't faded even after 25 years, marriage and a sabbatical. Ever since she set foot again in India in November last year, she has been hogging the limelight.

The 43-year-old broke many hearts when she tied the knot in 2002 with Shriram Madhav Nene, a doctor based out in Denver, US. Post- marriage, Madhuri featured only in 'Aaja Nachle' because she got busy with family and children.

The beautiful actress was after all a rage in Bollywood. Despite her garish clothes and loud makeup, the trained Kathak dancer lit up the screen with her million-dollar smile, dance and her performances in 'Tezaab', 'Ram Lakhan', 'Sajan', 'Beta', 'Dil' and many more.

When Rajshri Productions, which had launched her in 1984 with 'Abodh', teamed up with Madhuri a decade later in 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun!', they created history by giving Hindi cinema one of its biggest grossers. The audiences lapped up the movie, which ran about a year and earned over Rs.600 million.

Madhuri Dixit rejects Rajinikanth's Rana

Rajinikanth might move the mountains in his films, but he could not convince Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit to act opposite him. The Dhak Dhak star said no to the actor who offered him one of the three leads in his upcoming film. Rajinikanth who has acted with Madhuri before in Uttar Daks hin in 1987 was keen to sign Madhuri in the film Rana.

But the actress turned down the offer saying she was missing her sons and wanted to fly back to US. In Rana, Rajini will play triple role, and will also romance Deepika Padukone. Well we hope Madhuri says yes to at least one movie before she returns back to her sasural.

Madhuri desires to open dance school

Madhuri desires to open dance schoolHer career took a backseat after her wedding, but Bollywood's dancing dive Madhuri Dixit is seriously thinking about fulfilling her dream of opening a dance schools chain across the world.

"I don't have an immediate, ready plan to open my dance school, but I really want to do something like that and hopefully, god willing, I will do it," Madhuri told IANS. "The plans are in my head right now. It will be multi-genre school where various dance forms will be taught. I am speaking as if everything is ready... but it is my dream. If I do it, it will be everywhere," she added.

After shifting base to Denver following her wedding in 1999 to Shriram Nene, the 43-year-old kept in touch with her dance through practice sessions at home. "I started practicing my kathak there and that's something that gave me a lot of joy," said the trained Kathak dancer.

Now the actress has two children - Arin, 7 and Ryan, 5, and she wants to wait for some more time to put her plans for the dance school in place. "My children are really young right now. When I get some more time... I will focus on the dance school," she said.

As of now, she is enjoying her stint on Sony TV's "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4" as a judge along with actress Malaika Arora Khan and choreographer Remo D'Souza, and maintains that she doesn't miss the glitzy cinema life when she is back home.

"I miss Mumbai for the energy of the city and because there are a lot of friends in the city. I miss my craft sometimes but I don't miss the other stuff that goes with Bollywood because I was never part of it. "I have enjoyed every moment of my life - have never had any regrets. I am glad I took a break for my children because I wanted to be with them in their formative years," said Madhuri.

Madhuri Dixit is back to modeling

Madhuri Dixit is back to modelingBollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is back in the thick of things shooting not only for the dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' that brought her back to India this time, but also an endorsement for which she has apparently been paid an unheard-of price.

According to reliable sources, Madhuri and her old business manager Rakesh Nath (Rikku) have finalised at least three other endorsements that would keep the actress busy for a good part of January. When contacted Rikku, who has looked after Madhuri's career from the start, admits Madhuri's endorsement plans.

'She is at this very moment shooting for an endorsement campaign for Hindustan Lever product. Other endorsements are being finalised. Meetings are on,' he said. The buzz in the film industry is that Madhuri is determined to make a comeback in movies.

Apparently Yash Raj Films, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan Johar and UTV have come up with tempting offers. Madhuri is on the verge of signing one of these. 'You're right. She has got four-five very good offers. She will definitely do another film soon. But this time we have to be very careful. I've worked with other actresses, but Madhuriji is Madhuriji,' said Nath.

The diva seems more than happy keeping busy at home away from her adopted home. 'I'm having a ball. I am so glad people have liked me on 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'. I am enjoying this busy phase before the camera,' said Madhuri who is married to US-based doctor Sriram Nene and has two sons with him. Her children are expected to join her this week for Christmas holidays. 'I can't wait to see them,' said Madhuri happily before rushing for her next shot.

Madhuri Dixit: I’m having a ball on Jhalak. . .

Madhuri Dixit Says: I’m having a ball on Jhalak. . .Every warm body's energized! Naturally. . . None other than Bollywood's dhak dhak miss Madhuri Dixit is set up to judge Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa's fourth season, that premieres on Sony Entertainment Television this evening at 9, as well as Malaika Arora Khan and Remo D'Souza. Mads is thrilled as well.

"I'm enjoying myself on this show," she told TOI. This is not Madhuri's first stint on TV, she hosted Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai, a marriage-based reality show, a few years ago which didn't do too well. But then as she says, it was ahead of its time. "Had it been today, I'm sure it would do very well," she says.

The LA-based actress, who's in Mumbai for Jhalak..., is happy to be on TV again. She is very impressed with the enthusiasm and dedication of the participants, some of whom she has worked with before like Shekhar Suman and Renuka Shahane. "All contestants are celebrities in their own fields, but they are all set to put their best foot forward and be judged for their dancing skills. And they are not trained dancers. That's amazing.

Will Madhuri be a tough judge or the softer one? "Initially I would want them to get comfortable and be relaxed. In the later rounds, we will be more critical." Audiences will get to see her swaying to some popular numbers too. "That's right, all the judges will dance," she says, flashing the same smile that set a million hearts aflutter. The introductory episode of Jhalak... will be star-studded and every contestant will be introduced in a swanky song and dance format by top stars from Bollywood and television.

Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Helen will join hands with contenders like Mahii Vij, Akhil Kumar and Ragini Khanna. Shekhar will be introduced by his son Adhyayan, Krushna Abhishek will groove with mama Govinda, Meiyang Chang will come in with Anushka Sharma. Anushka Manchanda will have a surprise in the form of Esha Deol and lovebirds Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput have got actors Kinshuk Mahajan and Parul Chauhan with them. Interestingly, Mohnish Behl is going to introduce Renuka Sahane; the two will come on screen after a good 17 years!

Madhuri Dixit says it was not demanding to state farewell to fabulousness

Her bewitching smile could give Bollywood's young things an inferiority complex, and as she effortlessly moved to the beats of “Ke Sera Sera”, Madhuri Dixit sent young pulses racing and the oldies gasping. For an event that was two hours behind schedule, nobody was complaining.

Madhuri Dixit says it was not demanding to state farewell to fabulousness

In Delhi to promote Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, where she is one of the three judges, Madhuri descended with starry paraphernalia. Rikku Rakesh Nath, her secretary for 27 years, was making his presence felt and Mickey Contractor was around to keep her make-up fresh as Madhuri charmed the media. In fact, Mickey and Rikku eagerly looked at the LCD monitors of the cameras to gauge the impact madam was making at 43.

Quite a contrast from the homemaker she is in Denver, Colorado! Madhuri says it was not difficult to detach herself from the glamour world. “The credit goes to my upbringing. I was never treated as a star at home. For me acting was just a profession…I was like a working woman who loved to dance and perform in front of the camera. At home my parents never gave me ‘starry' treatment.”

Was it really that easy? “Yes, there is always an exception to the rule!” says Madhuri, confidence glinting in her eyes. Madhuri adds that because of this upbringing, she always wanted to ensure the man in her life should not be overawed by her status as a Bollywood star. “I wanted him to love me as a person. And Shriram turned out to be that person. Being from a disciplinarian Marathi family, he had very little clue about cinema. And when I went to the U.S. after marriage I could do things which I hadn't done for years. I could drive down to buy groceries. It was liberating. I still love to drop and pick up my kids.”

A role model for working women? “I am no one to advise working women because of the ‘luxuries' I have, but I strongly feel every working woman should believe in her talent and her family.”

Vanishing purity

She has come back at a time when innocence is vanishing from our screens, every heroine giving the impression she has seen it all, done it all. “It's a reflection of our society. Even the kids seem to know everything. You tell them a story of the moon and stars and they will start talking about satellites and galaxies. What was once called fantasy is real today.”

Similarly classical dance, which was once the backbone of Bollywood dance, is on the wane in our cinema. Madhuri, who still practises Kathak as part of her fitness and spiritual regimen, says younger actors don't seem eager to put in the effort required to master the classical art forms. “You can't learn Kathak overnight, Hip Hop you can.”Isn't she the one who started the trend of raunchy stuff with “Ek Do Teen”, “Dhak Dhak” and “Choli Ke Peeche”?

“But why do you forget that I have done a lot of classical stuff as well? And I was not the first one to dance to westernised songs. Vyjayanthimala did it much before me. ‘Ek Do Teen' was crucial to the story because it was a make or break condition for the character. She had to win crowd support to survive.”

When she came at the time of Aaja Nachle, the press accused her of losing touch with fashion, and one must say her saris still look dated. “But it didn't prevent me from coming again,” Madhuri gets a little caustic.

Was Aaja Nachle's box office performance a reason for this long break?

“See, my kids are still small. I can't take three-four projects at a time. For the last two years I am being pursued for films and reality shows including Jhalak… and I agreed when I watched the original Dancing With The Stars being shot in Los Angeles. The producers have promised that this time they are going to take Jhalak to the same level.”

Rikku says industry people keep on tapping him about her plans and that six-seven scripts are pending for Madhuri's nod. “I keep on sending DVDs to the States so that she could understand the changing trends.”

But Madhuri says she gets very little free time. “I have seen Ishqiya only after coming here. I liked Vidya Balan. Then I saw Raajneeti. It has no songs and very little commercial trappings but I have been told it worked well. I am not in a hurry. I will sign only when I get something really different.”

Madhuri Dixit: I thoroughly delight in being a homemaker

She reached the peak of fame in her Bollywood career and when time demanded, surrendered all to become a homemaker. It might be hard to imagine Madhuri Dixit engaged in everyday household chores, but the actress insists that is exactly what she does back at home in the US.

Madhuri Dixit: I thoroughly delight in being a homemaker

The 43-year-old actress, who married doctor Shriram Nene in 1999 and has two sons, said that settling down in family life wasn't tough as she always tried to lead a normal life even during her diva days. "I grew up in a different atmosphere with very middle class values, I was never treated like a star at home. For me acting was just a profession -- I loved performing, dancing in front of the camera; but I was a normal human being at home," Madhuri told PTI.

Sanjay Dutt against Madhuri’s comeback!

There are millions who would die to see their dhak dhak girl Madhuri Dixit act in movies again except for Sanjay Dutt!

Sanju baba as he is fondly called, would rather have Madhuri concentrate on her family life instead!

“Madhuri and I have worked in lot of films together. Today she is married, is a mother of two lovely children, is a housewife. She should focus on her family life.

I saw her film ‘Aaja Nachle’ and felt sorry for her. She should retire from films completely” said Sanjay Dutt frankly.

There were rumours of Madhuri doing Meghna Gulzar’s next but nothing more is known as of now about Madhuri’s comeback in Bollywood. We wonder what’s going on in Madhuri’s mind about movies, considering she is still wanted by her fans worldwide. Don’t we miss this lady’s beautiful million dollar smile!

Bollywood were chosen Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the ‘Dance Premier League’ judge position.

But eventually things turned out in the favor of Madhuri. Though Madhuri had previously made many appearances.

As a judge in numbers of reality shows, it is like adding another crown to her stride. According to sources.

“Madhuri and Aishwarya were both being considered to be the judge for one of the teams.

Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri as she quoted an exorbitant amount of money. The makers of the show couldn’t afford her.

And the scales tipped in Madhuri’s favour as she had demanded an affordable price. But the manager of Madhuri, Riku Rakesh Nath revealed,“The discussion is still on.”

Danish Khan, VP Marketing of the channel has a different story to tell, he added, “Yes, Madhuri has been chosen to represent one of the teams.”

He refused to comment on the reason why Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri and said, “I don’t want to talk abut the money involved but Madhuri is definitely on board for Dance Premier League.”

But it is confirm that Madhuri is the winner, the source added, “Madhuri was far more affordable is the reason why Aishwarya lost out on the show.” Aishwarya, who has bundle of good projects than Madhuri, may not feel it to be a big loss.
