Pregnant Lara is missing hubby Mahesh

To be mummy and actor Lara Dutta may be missing husband and ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi but he seems to have more than made up for the absence. Mahesh has been touring the US for various tournaments for the past couple of days. Owing to this, he too is missing out on spending time with wife Lara who is expecting.



Mahesh, who makes it a point to either travel with wife or take a break in between his tournaments, is missing out on spending time with her as Lara cannot fly during her pregnancy. But the wait has worth it as Mahesh and partner Leander Paes have clinched the Cincinnati Open Title in the US.



A visibly elated Lara Dutta posted on her Twitter page, “And THAT’S how we finish off an amazing Sunday! CongratulatioAns @ Maheshbhupathi and Leander for clinching the Cincinnati Open Title!!!!! :)” Besides wifey Lara who was seen congratulatory the duo, new found friend Neil Nitin Mukesh too sent his congratulatory messages to Mahesh.

Lara Dutta : I m not pregnant

The latest buzz that hits the gossip column is that Bollywood actress Lara Dutta is pregnant. It is rumored that Lara Dutta is in the family way. But the actress vehemently denied the report saying that she is not expecting.

It was also reported that Lara has just finished the shooting of ‘Don 2’ and is working on her next production. Lara and Mahesh feel that it is the right time to start a family. It was also rumored that the couple does not want to divulge the good news now as Lara has not completed three months.

Not only Lara but the pregnancy hoax has also roped in Shilpa Shetty. Later, Shilpa clarified that she is not pregnant and it is a mere rumor. Well, this time Lara had to give clarification about the report. Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi got married on February 21, 2011.

Looks like it is baby time in Bollywood as after actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan’s recent announcement of her pregnancy, speculations are rife about the other Bunt babe from Bollywood, actor Shilpa Shetty.

However, she’s not alone as grapevine is abuzz with news that the Bollywood actress turned film producer, Lara Dutta who recently wed tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi early this year, too is in the family way.

Says a source close to the couple, “Lara and Mahesh have always taken things as they come. Though they have been busy with their respective work, they feel it’s the right time to have a kid. Besides, Lara has just finished shooting for Don 2, and is working on her next home production now. She may orshe may notfeaturein her next film.”

Since it’s still in the early stages, the couple will apparently make the announcement only when they feel it’s the right time for it. “It is considered inauspicious to speak about the pregnancy until it’s completed three months. Right now they are really hush-hush about the entire thing and do not want too many people’s attention,” says the source.

Dutta reveals her perfectionist side

Post her shaadi, actress Lara Dutta seems to be on her way to increasingly becoming a perfectionist. A source close to the actress says that Dutta had looked after almost every detail for the music launch of her upcoming film. Says the source,

"We don't know if it has anything to do with marriage per se, but we've all observed that Dutta has become a perfectionist of late. She wants to be kept in the loop and she thinks a lot before giving the go ahead for anything. She's become a strategist of sorts." And another source tells us that the team of her upcoming film witnessed a similar side of the actor during the filming of a shot.

Apparently, a scene required Dutta to wear a jacket and the actor made it a point to source one all the way from London! "She was emphasizing on the importance of authenticity. And since this was Dutta's maiden production venture, nothing could stop her from going that extra mile, or spending that extra buck.

Dutta initially looked for a jacket that would blend with her character and the scene (in local stores). She even called her fashion conscious friends to see if they had a suitable jacket. But then she logged on to the internet and stumbled upon the one she was looking for. It was only later that she learnt that the jacket had to be called in from the UK," says the source explaining the chain of events.

The jacket apparently brought a smile to the actress's face and she was on cloud nine when she saw the final shot. Well, there are some added advantages of being the producer of your own film, right?

Vinay Pathak: Dutta underused as an actor

Actor Vinay Pathak, who has gained appreciable success with his offbeat films, is upset that his `Chalo Dilli` co-star Lara Dutta`s potential has not been fully utilised by the industry.

"I am not a commercial celebrity. It`s a fantastic opportunity for me to work with Lara. She is a fabulous actor, very underused in our industry. She has done some wonderful roles, but she is yet to be exploited," Vinay told reporters.

"I am ecstatic about that fact that we came together to work on a story and a film that has given ample opportunity to both of us to indulge in what we know the best," he added. But isn`t it an odd pair on screen?

"It`s a story of an odd couple that`s why we have come together. The story requires such imagery and such characterisation, hence such actors," said Vinay, who is working for the second time with director Shahant Shah after his critically acclaimed `Dasvidaniya`. Produced by Eros International in association with Big Daddy Production, `Chalo Dilli` is set to hit the theatres April 29.

bounced and ran haphazard, screeching at the top of her lungs. It was a side of Lara we had never viewed ever. Breaking News: Lara Dutta & Mahesh Bhupathi get married

Bollywood actress Lara Dutta and tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi Wednesday had a registered marriage. Announcing their wedding on microblogging site Twitter, Mahesh posted his picture with Lara, saying: "Mr. and Mrs Bhupathi folks..."

On Feb 19, the couple will reportedly have a Church wedding in Goa and their sangeet ceremony is Feb 18. After months of speculations that they are dating, Lara, 32, and Mahesh, 36, disclosed their engagement in September last year.

Shahrukh Khan & Lara Dutta perform together at Muscat Festival

A slew of events including a fashion show, a cycle race, extreme sailing championship and food festivals are slated for the Muscat Festival which opens in the capital of Sultanate of Oman on January 27-February 24 with Bollywood names like Shah Rukh Khan and Lara Dutta participating in it, top officials said on Monday.

"While singer Sonu Niigaam and actress Lara Dutta will perform at the fest on Feb 10, superstar Shah Rukh Khan will have a stage-show there on Feb 17," Salim Bin Adey Al-Mamari, Director General of Tourism Promotion, Sultanate of Oman, told media persons here this afternoon.

Oman also plans to woo Indian filmmakers to consider the country as a shooting locale as Bollywood movies are very popular there and Shah Rukh also commands a huge fan following. "Film tourism is a growing phenomenon worldwide. We realize the importance and the reach of the Indian film industry and plan to encourage Indian producers and studios to film in Oman," added Lubaina Sheerazi, India Representative of Sultanate of Oman.

Hoping to lure over two million visitors from India and elsewhere, the Muscat Festival will have Oman's Food Festival (Feb 3-17), Muscat Fashion Week (Feb 22-24), Tour of Oman cycle race (Feb 15-20), and Extreme Sailing World Championships (Feb 20-24), besides many other events.

Oman soon expects to claim a big slice of the booming meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) business by setting up a world-class conference facility. Spread over two-million-square-metres, the ‘Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre' will boast of a 3,000 seat Convention Centre, four hotels and serviced apartments supported by a major regional retail facility, just four kilometers from Muscat Airport, informed Khalid Al Zadjali, Director of Tourism Events, Ministry of Tourism, Oman.

Targeting 12 million Indian visitors to Oman by 2020, Al Zadjali said that the country is a safe destination where the state income goes back to the people in the form of free education, free health care and almost no taxes to pay.

Lara Dutta’s secret is out

For some odd reason, Lara Dutta’s being very secretive about her fitness video. The actress continues to deny that she is working on one.

Even her publicist swore that there is nothing happening on that front. However inside details are that the actress has finished working on the video. It has been shot on a set at Mehboob Studio. It has been produced by her boyfriend Mahesh Bhupathi’s firm Globosport.

He has closely worked with Lara on the ideation and design for the DVD. The video begins with a half-hour cardio session and then gives the viewer the option of choosing either the beginners’ or advanced levels.

While Bipasha’s video featured her friend and fitness expert Deanne Pandey, Lara’s expert is Zarine Watson, who runs a gym called Watson Fitness centre in Bandra where Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal and other celebs work out.
