Kareena Kapoor doesn’t believe in keeping a bodyguard, as she doesn’t like her fans being treated badly. She believes that whatever she has achieved so far is because of them, which is why she always makes it a point to give autographs and allows her fans to click a picture with her. The only time the actor keeps a bodyguard is when she is making an appearance in a crowded place.



But considering her next film is titled Bodyguard, ask her if her opinion has changed now and she just smiles and says that co-star Salman Khan is her new bodyguard.

The Kapoor khandaan may be in mourning and the two actors, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan may have hectic schedules, but they always make time for love and leisure. The two took off for a quiet vacation to London on Sunday night. The couple will be living it up and enjoying some bonding time.



A much needed break for Bebo, who shooting schedules and promotional appearances lined up for a while. Plus, the passing of her grand-uncle would have also taken a toll on the young lady.



"Last week they were shooting for Agent Vinod, but nobody knew what Kareena had planned for Saif's birthday. She requested Saif's production partner Dinesh Vijan for five days off from the shoot to whisk him off to London. This year, Saif's birthday plans have been kept completely quiet and nobody except their families know where they are. They are staying at their favourite hotel Claridge's. Kareena even made all the arrangements for the birthday dinner on Tuesday night at an exclusive resto-bar in London," a source revealed to TOI.



While Kareena completed most of her professional commitments before leaving. Saif, on the other hand, can't be too far away from work. He has some meeting scheduled for his time in London as well. "They don't want anybody to know about their vacation, so they quietly flew out on August 14. This time the couple didn't want anybody to know what Kareena's birthday plans for Saif were. Their close friends got to know only the next day," the source added.

Kareena Is In A Fix - Shahrukh Or Salman?

Kareena Kapoor is one of the rare B-town celebrities who can manage a sound relationship with both the Khans - Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan simultaneously.

Mukherji & Kapoor refuse to shoot in red-light area?

Apparently one amongst Rani Mukherji or Kareena Kapoor is playing the role of a prostitute in Aamir Khan's film.

Aamir Khan's new film being directed by Reema Kagti seems to be making news. The more the makers are trying to maintain secrecy around the project, the more attention it is garnering. Earlier there were reports that Aamir Khan, in all probability, plays a ghost in the film. And now the female leads of the film are making news.

Seemingly one amongst the film's two leading ladies – Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor is playing the role of a prostitute in the film. Director Reema Kagti wanted to shoot in actual locations of red light area in Mumbai to get a real feel in the film. But if sources are to be believed, the actress wasn't comfortable in shooting at real locations.

And this despite the fact that both Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor have played the role of a prostitute in their earlier films! Kareena Kapoor won critical acclaim for her role in Chameli while Rani Mukherji has played a prostitute several times in films like Saawariya, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Mangal Pandey . Apparently this also led to delay in the shooting schedule until the same sequences were shot at another area in Lower Parel in Mumbai.

Kapoor miffed with Padukone

Seems like Kareena Kapoor is miffed with Deepika Padukone! Kareena is really upset with Deepika for spreading rumours that Dips was the first choice for Chamak Challo in Ra.One.

A source told Mid-Day, "Recently, Dippy has been telling anyone willing to hear that she was the original choice for the Chamak Challo dance number in Ra.One and that producer Shah Rukh Khan had her in mind for the item number.

"This piece of information miffed Kareena to no ends. Buzz is that Bebo feels that Dips is spreading such rumours because she wants to gain mileage for Dum Maaro Dum.

A close source of Bebo told the tabloid, "Chamak Challo is not even an item number. Kareena is the film's heroine and the song is part of the story so how can Deepika even be considered?

These rumours amuse Bebo. DP may be spreading this rumour as her DMD track isn't the hit it was touted to be."The director of Ra.One Anubhav Sinha cleared the air and said that Deepika was never approached for Chamak Challo.

Kareena Kapoor to play Mandakini?

Bebo might play the role of the yesteryear Bollywood actress Mandakini for the sequel of Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai

Ekta Kapoor is all set to make her sequel to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai a grand affair. So after roping in Akshay Kumar to play the lead role of Dawood in the sequel, Ekta Kapoor is now planning to get in Kareena Kapoor as the female lead. Interestingly Kareena's role will be modeled on the lines of yesteryear actress Mandakini, who was supposedly Dawood Ibrahim's muse.

While the makers insist that the sequel will be story of Shoaib (played by Emraan Hashmi in the first part) over Dawood Ibrahim, they had made similar claims that Sultaan Mirza's character was not modeled on lines of Haji Mastan, though we all know the truth now.

So while on one side director Milan Luthria is making Vidya Balan play Silk Smitha, on the other side he will make Kareena Kapoor play Mandakini. Incidentally Kareena Kapoor was to work with Milan Luthria years back in Chori Chori but opted out due to date problems and the role eventually went to Rani Mukherji.

More interestingly Mandakini's solo claim to fame in Bollywood is her under-the-waterfall-in-transparent-white-outfit scene from Ram Teri Ganga Maili which was directed by Kareena Kapoor's grandfather Raj Kapoor.

Kareena to launch a Signature Collection of Clutches

Kareena Kapoor is all set to launch a range of clutch bags. The collection will be called Bebo, after her nickname. A source said, "Kareena was recently appointed brand ambassador for a range of handbags. The company observed that their sales shot up after she began endorsing the product. They were so happy that they came up with the idea of having a limited edition of clutches called Bebo!"Currently the actress is in talks regarding the bag line.

"There are many aspects to be looked into including the selling and marketing as well as Kareena's involvement including her remuneration," the source added. Kareena will also be giving her personal design inputs. It will be a high-end collection in gold, silver, beige and black and will bear her signature.

Kareena surprised all by landing on the sets of Aarakshan

Kareena Kapoor gave a surprise to the cast of “Aarakshan” by landing on the sets of the film in Bhopal, where her beau Saif is shooting with Deepika.

Her surprise visit on the sets has resulted in a subject of gossip in B-town. A close source from the Aarakshan unit stated “Kareena heard that Saif would be shooting some intense romantic scenes with Deepika, including a long kissing scene.”

He said further, “It is widely believed she rushed to Bhopal to ‘monitor’ the scenes. She was not too happy to hear about the kissing scene.”
Saif and Deepika developed a good rapport ever since they were casted together in “Love Aaj Kal”.

Imran clicks Kapoor on sets of Short Term Shaadi

In many of his earlier interviews, Imran Khan has said that Kareena Kapoor is one actress whom he wishes to work with. And now that Imran is actually working with Kareena in Shakun Batra's Short Term Shaadi, he is surely making the most of this experience.

Kareena Kapoor will play the role of Imran Khan’s hairstylist in Karan Johar’s upcoming flick “Short Term Shaadi”. In the film Imran will sport two looks.

In the first half he will adopt a formal look and a funky look in the second half. A source stated “Imran plays a rigid, conservative and fussy architect in the film, who falls in love with Kareena Kapoor, a liaison which changes him completely.”

“Kareena plays a hairstylist who teaches him about life and love. The film has been shot in Las Vegas and India and will be directed by Shakun Batra.”

To give authenticity to her role, Kareena learned some hairstyling techniques from her personal stylist Pompy.

In real life however, it is Imran’s close friend Ayesha, who styles his hair for all his films. Imran stated “The film takes place in a compressed time frame of a little more than a week and deals with how my character changes within that short span of time.”

“In the first half, my character is prim, proper and very fussy about the way his life should be. I wear starched, neatly ironed outfits and formal three-piece suits with polished shoes.”

The actor said further, “My hair is always neatly combed. Kareena enters my life and gives me a cool makeover and a different, spicier hairstyle.”

He said, “She comes into my dull and drab life like a breath of fresh air and makes me see things differently.”

Kareena Kapoor to launch a fitness book on 15th of Jan

According to latest tabloid news, Bollywood’s size zero actress Kareena Kapoor will be deplaning in Mumbai to launch her dietitian Rujuta Divekar’s latest health volume titled 'Women and the Weight Loss Tamasha', this Saturday, on Jan. 15. It’s learnt that, the queen bee of B-town, who is very passionate about her recent enterprise, will be tendering a handwritten note by her with each book, besides lending her voice to the harmonizing audio-book that comes along with it.

A source close to the actress said, "Kareena insisted that she be part of the whole process much more than just coming to launch it. Kareena believes fitness is food for the soul. According to her, healthy body leads to a healthy mind so she's willing to send a message to all women to keep fit.”

The book encompasses topics related to women, food and everything between teenage years and marriage to pregnancy and menopause. In the audio-book, the actress speaks on the working woman's problem regarding eating right and on the dot.

Complimenting Kareena, her dietitian and the author of the book said, "Kareena has been working round-the-clock on her films and so having her on board for the narration was out of question since I understood her busy schedule but when she casually found out about the audio-book she immediately wanted to narrate her own portion. It will be special to have her handwritten note in each book."
