The Kapoor khandaan may be in mourning and the two actors, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan may have hectic schedules, but they always make time for love and leisure. The two took off for a quiet vacation to London on Sunday night. The couple will be living it up and enjoying some bonding time.



A much needed break for Bebo, who shooting schedules and promotional appearances lined up for a while. Plus, the passing of her grand-uncle would have also taken a toll on the young lady.



"Last week they were shooting for Agent Vinod, but nobody knew what Kareena had planned for Saif's birthday. She requested Saif's production partner Dinesh Vijan for five days off from the shoot to whisk him off to London. This year, Saif's birthday plans have been kept completely quiet and nobody except their families know where they are. They are staying at their favourite hotel Claridge's. Kareena even made all the arrangements for the birthday dinner on Tuesday night at an exclusive resto-bar in London," a source revealed to TOI.



While Kareena completed most of her professional commitments before leaving. Saif, on the other hand, can't be too far away from work. He has some meeting scheduled for his time in London as well. "They don't want anybody to know about their vacation, so they quietly flew out on August 14. This time the couple didn't want anybody to know what Kareena's birthday plans for Saif were. Their close friends got to know only the next day," the source added.

Saif and Soha to clash?

Looks like Bollywood is going to have it's quota full of sibling clashes this year. Even as brother-sister 'jodi' of Tusshar and Ekta Kapoor are making light of their Love U... Mr. Kalakaar! and Ragini MMS clashing with each other on the May 13 weekend, another sibling clash is all set to have the tongues wagging.

This is between the Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan who would be taking on each other as their Aarakshan and Soundtrack clash with each other.

"Both films would release on August 12, the weekend that leads to Independence Day holiday of 15th August", sources said. "This way, Aarakshan as well as Soundtrack are looking at capitalising on the 4 day long weekend available to them."One wonders though whether Saif and Soha are aware about the clash as the developments have been quite recent.

"Saif would be quite prepared for the August 12 release since Prakash Jha has been making quick progress with Aarakshan. In fact this is one of his fastest shoots till date. Since the film deals with the topical issue of reservation, it makes sense for the makers to release it around the Independence Day as it also makes a huge socio-political statement. They would certainly not want to let go off this date; more so because the film arrives after Jha's last big hit Raajneeti and audience is waiting with bated breath to see what next he has to offer", the source continues.

As for Soundtrack, the film's release announcement has come as a surprise since it was hardly in news and is yet to see a promotional campaign being put together. The film is an official remake of a Canadian film It's All Gone Pete Tong and features Soha as a deaf girl.

Kareena & Saif getting engaged this month

Bollywood’s favorite love birds Kareena and Saif are finally planning to set a hot date on this Valentine month to get formally engaged. Buzz has it that Saif is in a hurry to put a ring on Kareena’s hand.

This much in love couple has finally decided to give an official meaning to their relationship after three long years and are eagerly routing to get engaged as soon as possible. However, both have still not made up their mind on marriage. They are yet to decide on that and don’t want to leap on that line as of now. Talking about their engagement plans, a source close to the couple stated, “They want to announce to the whole world that they are engaged. Now, whether they want to have an official engagement ceremony or want to have a party to celebrate their engagement is up to them.

"Both of them have spoken about it, and have arrived at the decision that they can announce their engagement to the whole world.”It’s also believed that the Kapoor Khandaan wants them to get engaged and are having serious talks on this matter.

Kareena wants to focus on career Kareena, who has always been an inspiration for budding artists for her acting talent and soaring popularity in the industry, has decided not to get hitched at this point of her successful career, since this could turn out to be a bad move professionally.

Speaking about their decision on marriage, sources stated that the couple has made plans to set aside their marriage plans to a later time period, since Kareena feels getting engaged is the right decision for now.

“They are more in love than a married couple and both of them feel the nikaah can happen later on. Bebo (Kareena’s pet name) feels that getting engaged to each other is the right decision rather than getting married because a marriage might slow down the career of an actress," stated sources.

Saif Ali Khan wants some action. After spending a romantic vacation with Kareena Kapoor, Saif states “Apart from bringing unconditional love in my life, Bebo (Kareena) has brought in a healthier lifestyle too.”

He reveals “My film Agent Vinod requires me to be in my best form. I’m no wrestler in the film, but the role will need extremely rigorous action on my part, and I’m gearing up to give it my best. I hope it’ll see me in my best physical form.”

Presently, Saif is concentrating on his upcoming film titled “Aarakshan” which will be directed by Prakash Jha.

He added “It’s an interesting role, but the draw is also the film-maker. One can trust Jha (director Prakash Jha) blindly to come up with a film with the sensibilities in the right place. You know you are in safe hands!”

There has been enough discussion about Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s marriage! We have heard lots of statement from both of them but none of them have given real indication about the time they would tie the knot.

Saif has already taken the marriage vows once and is happy with two kids from his former wife Amrita Singh. So, it seems there is no hurry from his side and Kareena is also at the peak of her career and is only 30 now. Saif Ali Khan credits Amitabh for his Bollywood raid

Even though Saif Ali Khan is veteran actress Sharmila Tagore's son, the actor says he joined the Indian film industry chiefly because of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan.

The 40-year-old actor is all set to work with Amitabh in Prakash Jha's next 'Aarakshan'. This is the second time that both the actors will share screen space after the 2007 film 'Eklavya: The Royal Guard' 'I joined films pretty much because of Amitji so it's always an absolute honour to work with him and I'm glad I got another opportunity to get associated with him,' Saif told reporters here.

Big B too was elated to know about Saif's thoughts and revealed that he felt honoured after hearing what Saif had to say. 'I have worked with Saif in 'Eklavya', that was my first association with him. I am really honoured and privileged to know that he feels that I was in someway responsible for his entry into this film industry. I'm delighted to work with him again,' said the 68-year-old star.

Amitabh also remembered some of the moments that he spent with Saif.

'Today, I remember one of the very old moments. Saif was six-seven years old and he had visited my sets when I was shooting a song in Filmcity. Sharmila ji, his mother, said that he wanted to be with me and see the shooting.

'He was a very confused looking youngster then, who stood at the top of the hill, sitting on a rock all by himself and watching the shooting. From then on I have watched him grow so brilliantly to a fine actor with a lot of variety in every performance,' revealed the actor.

'Aarakshan' also stars Deepika Padukone, Prateik and Manoj Bajpayee and will go on floor Jan 15. It is based on policies of caste based reservations in government jobs and educational institutions.

Vidya Balan and Saif Ali together in Dream Sequence

Remember Parineeta the Bollywood debut of demure Vidya Balan who had won all hearts with that poignant and alluring film. Vidya had paired up with Saif Ali Khan in that block buster based on a Bengali novel and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Then they were next seen in ‘Eklavya: The Royal Guard’. However, that film sank without a trace. But now the actors meet again in ‘Dream Sequence’, a film that shall be directed by the crafty Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by the reputed Balaji Motion Pictures.

However, Vidya wasn’t the 1st choice for this film. Earlier, Deepika Padukone was slated to do the film coz the makers wanted to cash in on the popularity of the ‘Love Aaj Kal’ pair Saif and Padukone. However, Deepika pulled out after Saif sounded uncertain and Abhay Deol was being eyed as a possible replacement.

But finally Saif stayed back after being convinced by Vishal Sir with whom he has worked in ‘Omkara.’ But the exit of Deepika paved way for a grand entry of Vidya Balan who has rubbed shoulders with Vishal in ‘Ishqiya’.

Now things are settling down and all are excited about the project. But it is to be seen if Vidya and Saif can conjure up the same chemistry of ‘Parineeta’ or would ‘Dream Sequence’ would shatter a la Eklavya?

They are a 'Tashan' pair off screen and they 'kick-ass' when they are paired together on screen. Bollywood's hottest couple - Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have been snapped up together in an endorsement deal by Metro Shoes. The couple was present at the launch of the new 'Metro Ads Posters' at a media event recently.

Kareena was wearing a stunning red dress with a black belt, while her boyfriend Saif sported a smart black tuxedo with a white shirt. The endorsement deal was just a photo-shoot and not the normal video commercial. There were some apologies from the couple as they reached the event location three hours late since they were stuck in a traffic jam. However those present enjoyed the warm company of the couple.

Golmaal 3 actress Kareena said, "I don't know if anybody wants to be in our shoes or not; but we are definitely proud to wear Metro shoes!" Meanwhile the fun-loving Khan was very much outspoken and said, "I am proud to be associated with Metro Shoes. It is one of the most successful shoe brands in the country and therefore the biggest and therefore the most complementary brand for ourselves to associate with."

He jokingly added, "I love to wear chappals during summers, but wear black formal shoes on such occasions!" Kareena Kapoor celebrate Diwali with Golmaal 3 gang

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan usually attend parties together. But on Diwali night, the gal was seen letting her hair down not with her beau but with her Golmaal 3 gang at Tusshar Kapoor's house. But when I was alone on Diwali night with my friends, it was a different experience.

Incidentally, the Chhote Nawab is yet to see Golmaal 3. After Golmaal 2, Kareena was reluctant to do the third part, but her Omkara co-star insisted she do the film. Kareena And Saif Will they ever tie the knot?

Aamir Khan may have lent Kareena a much-needed mega success in 3 Idiots, but Saif Ali Khan’s career graph seems to have come to a pause. Not that, he desperately needs a hit but his films, of late, have been mediocre in content and average in box office (take Kurbaan, for instance). However, much is said and written about Saifeena- the love birds.

So, will Kareena tie the knot with Saif? Firstly, Kareena is a career-oriented woman and, currently, her Bollywood wagon wheel is running at a tremendous pace. So, it’s not plausible that she walks the aisle with Saif who is ageing rapidly (with balding scalp and dwindling career).

Secondly, Saif already has proved why he isn’t a one-woman guy. His divorce from Amrita Singh came as a shocker to the industry when he hooked up with an Italian Rosa. Lovers Kareena And Saif turn Biz Partners

Saif Ali Khan has just wrapped up the first schedule of his second production, Agent Vinod, and buzz is that this could be his last co-production with partner Dinesh Vijan.

“It’s a development, not a split,” Khan clarifies, insisting that Vijan and he will continue making films related stories together under the Illuminati Films banner.

“I’m going to make more than one movie at a time, so I will be launching another production house and Kareena (Kapoor) will be on the board of directors. It’s important for my growth as an actor-producer.”

Saif KareenaKunal Kohli’s Hum Tum (2004) had fetched Khan a National Award for Best Actor. However, their second film together, the Indianised Mary Poppins, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (2008), did not create any magic at the box-office.

But Khan will team up with Kohli again for a third movie that the latter describes as “a story about love in unexpected places that will redefine the ‘metrosexual’ look.”Love in Spain.

He will also get together with Siddharth Anand (Salaam Namaste, 2005) in a film the director says, is a “one-of-its-kind romantic comedy set in Spain, perfectly suited to Saif’s age and image”. Quiz the actor, who’s just turned 40, on these two projects, and he reminds you that he flagged off the most successful phase in his career, and the trend of multiplex movies, with these two filmmakers. “And from their scripts.

It seems like they’ve both evolved as writer-directors. It would be misleading to call the films deep. They are designed as entertaining love stories, with catchy music, eye-catching locations, comic interactions, a crisis that drives a couple apart and a beautiful end that brings them together,” says Khan. “It’s the kind of cinema our Indian audience enjoys and it has a certain relevance in today’s world,” he adds.

Vishal’s next He’s also in talks with Vishal Bhardwaj, after the critically acclaimed Omkara, for two movies. “Vishal has so many ideas, from a love triangle with a nightmarish scenario to a rustic action-thriller,” informs Khan. “Let’s see what comes out.”

He admits that he could be co-producing at least one of these three movies but it’s unlikely that his working partner, Kareena Kapoor, would feature in any of them. “It would be exciting for the audience and me to work with other female stars,” he reasons.

“I’ve never enforced my will on my producers and eventually it will be the director’s call, but it would be nice to pair up with Deepika (Padukone) again after Love Aaj Kal. And since I’ve never worked with Priyanka (Chopra) and Katrina (Kaif), we could be fresh ‘jodis’ too.”

Deepika and Saif in Kunal Kohli’s next?

Chote Nawab Saif Ali Khan who has discovered his romantic best in films like Hum Tum and Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic is all set to work for Kunal Kohlis next. Obviously it will be a love story where Saif will be playing a metro sexual in the film.

Kohli refused to give more details but said that the film will go on floors by October and if all goes as planned, it will be complete by early February 2011. But sources reveal that it might be the repeat of the pairing of the hit Love Aaj Kal Jodi of Deepika and Saif. Currently Kunal is busy filming Break Ke Baad starring Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone.
