Padukone and Kapoor are good friends again

Deepika Padukone's personal life often ends up making more headlines than her professional life does. The latest gossip about Deepika that is doing rounds is that she claims she is still great friends with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor.

Deepika was quizzed about her relationship with Ranbir on a chat show and she commented that she still considers him as her good friend. She later added that both of them are in an amazing phase as they spend a lot of time together and it has been a wonderful experience for both.

The actress also confessed that even though they are not dating now, but he has still been there for her whenever she needed him. We must say that Dippy surely knows how to be in the good books of everyone.

Meanwhile, last week Ranbir too called his relation with Deepika special when he was on the same chat show. The two met on the sets of Bachna Ae Haseeno after which their romance bloomed. But the duo parted ways within a few months and since then weren't even on talking terms with each other.

Ranbir Kapoor gets his Nails cut from his Mom

Ranbir Kapoor has revealed on Simi Selects India’s Most Desirable how close he is to his mother Neetu Singh.

“I’m closer to mom. My mom used to cut my nails till two years back. I’m very dependent on her.”

The actor features in the show’s first episode on June 12.

In the ‘Meet the Parents’ round, Neetu has stated, “Ranbir is very soft and polite. It is very easy to fall in love with Ranbir.”

Salman Khan's eyes are on Ranbir Kapoor's girlfriend Nargis Fakhri

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and his both brothers Arbaz Khan and Suhail Khan consider that doing experience with new faces is counterproductive for them.

After having big success for casting Sonakshi Sinha in their movie 'Dabang', Khan brothers are searching for another new face for their upcoming new movie.

According to sources Salman Khan is willing to cast Ranbir Kapoor's girlfriend Nargis Fakhri as a heroine in his upcoming movie "Sher Khan" written by his brother Sohail. The script of this film is based on a superhero character and obviously that would be Salman Khan however for role of heron they were having option between Katrina and Sonakshi but Sohail is willing to introduce new face and he is trying his level best to cast Nargis Fakhri against Salman Khan.

Now we just have to wait and see that Salman Khan might have some purpose to cast Nargis as she is Ranbir's girlfriend and in the past Ranbir came in between Salman and Katrina, so he might want to take revenge.

Can Ranbir Kapoor revive the RK banner?

The period from the late 40s to early 60s, have been regarded as the Golden age of Bollywood. Legendary films like ‘Pyaasa’, ’Awaara’ and ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ are associated with this period.

One of the greatest showman in Bollywood, Raj Kapoor started his own production house, R.K. Films. RK studios were responsible for films like ’Awaara’, ’Aag’, ’Shri 420’, which became the trendsetter for popular mainstream cinema in Bollywood.

After the death of Raj Kapoor, his son Randhir Kapoor took upon the helm of the studio. He soon directed ‘Premgranth’. But with the commercial failure of ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’, the RK banner stopped producing more films.

Will Ranbir take over RK banner? Most people in the industry are of the opinion that Ranbir Kapoor might carry on the legacy started by Raj Kapoor. Rishi Kapoor and his two brothers Randhir and Rajeev Kapoor have failed to contribute much to the cause of reviving the RK banner.

Souces inside the industry said, "For the first time, there has been a unanimous agreement among the older Kapoor members that Ranbir be allowed to do run the studio. Most feel that it’s a family legacy that sons of the Kapoor khandaan make films under the banner.”

Even though Rishi Kapoor attempted to revive the banner by trying his hands in direction, with the debacle of ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’, Rishi Kapoor too alienated himself from more such productions. Similarly, the rest of the Kapoor brothers have been less active in reviving the RK banner.

A source added, "Rajeev and Randhir are also of the opinion that Ranbir should be given full freedom as they have been able to do nothing about the banner that closed down after a box-office disaster ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalein’ in 1999.”

Katrina Kaif leaves Kapoor for old flame Salman Khan?

It seems Bollywood siren Katrina Kaif is unable to get rid of the sweet memories of her mentor and old flame Salman Khan. Apparently, after a lot of introspection, the dainty beauty has decided to end her relationship with the blue-eyed boy of Bollywood – Ranbir Kapoor for his easy ways with women. Katrina: I'm not married to Ranbir

Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif, who is currently in the news for her alleged 'marriage' and break-up with Ranbir Kapoor, says it is just a rumour. "These kinds of talks are just rumours. They are a part and parcel of the industry. One just has to smile and concentrate on work," said Katrina.

When asked if she was ever dating Ranbir, Katrina said, "I have never commented on my personal life. And will not do so now."Ranbir and Katrina have worked together in Rajkumar Santoshi's 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani' and 'Raajneeti'.

2000 girls went gaga over Ranbir

Some 2000 girls went gaga over Ranbir during the shooting of his upcoming film “Rockstar” in Mumbai directed by Imtiaz Ali.

For one of the scenes Ranbir had to walk through a red-light area which required at least 250 girls to scream and chant his screen name in the film “Jordan”, who is a superstar.

But with the news of Ranbir’s shooting going on air some 2000 girls reached the sets and started screaming Ranbir thereby making it difficult for them to shoot.
Seeing this Ranbir approached the girls and promised them that if they screemed his screen name “Jordan” then he will give each one his autograph.

The girls agreed to do so and Ranbir too kept his promise.

Deepika, Ranbir to romance again?

If all goes well, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone will be paired up together for Ayan Mukherjee's next. According to reports, it was Deepika who was very keen on being cast with ex-beau Ranbir in the film.

Rumour mills suggest that Deepika kept calling Ayan and convinced him to sign her for the film opposite Ranbir. Finally after doing a narration, the Wake Up Sid director decided she was the perfect choice. Earlier reports suggested that Ranbir doesn't want to work with Deepika in Ayan's film. But it seems, finally the two of them will star together.

Ranbir and Imran spoof Guzaarish at the Filmfare Awards

Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan recently made mimicry of an act from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film “Guzaarish” starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead pair.

In the act Ranbir dressed himself in a red dress, plaits and red lips like Aishwarya Rai and Imran Khan on the other hand dressed like Hrithik with long hair and flat.

The duo had also been a hit pair in the 2009 Filmfare Awards ceremony where they spoofed the veteran Khans.

Ranbir Kapoor mimicked Shah Rukh Khan’s look from “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” while Imran Khan dressed himself as his mamuji in “Ghajani”.

Seeing this the Bachchans burst out in laughter especially Abhishek. But this year they were not much amused.

Ranbir and Katrina spotted together

Ranbir Kapoor was spotted driving around in his red-coloured two seater Audi R8 with Katrina Kaif. Ranbir recently wrapped up the shoot for Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar in Gurgaon. On his return to Mumbai, he's managed to spend some time with Katrina.

A source reveals, "Ranbir is really fond of that car and loves to drive in it. Ranbir and Priyanka don’t go along too well!

The co-stars of “Anjaana Anjaani” Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are having a silent war.

This was best seen at a fashion show where the two were to walk the ramp but did not interact with each other in the green house.

The remaining celebrities present at the fashion show Shilpa Shetty, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan AkhtarFarhan Akhtar and Karan Johar cheered for each other, Priyanka and Ranbir did little. The two ignored each other’s presence.

She rocks down South with films like Pokiri and Kick to her credit. If all goes well, Ileana will soon make her debut in Bollywood and that too, with Ranbir Kapoor. According to our source, Anurag Basu is in talks with the actress to play a leading role in Barfi.

Source said, “Anurag plans to cast Ileana in one of the lead roles in Barfi. The film is a two-heroine project and while speculation is on whether Priyanka Chopra or Asin will play the lead in Barfi, Ileana is surely playing the second lead in the film.” Interestingly, Barfi was earlier titled Silence. Ranbir’s character has been inspired from Charlie Chaplin and Rowan Atkinson.

Anjaana Anjaani is Hot business in boxoffice: Rs 250 million

The Ranbir Kapoor - Priyanka Chopra starrer Anjaana Anjaani has had a good opening weekend with net collections of approximately Rs 257.50 million (Rs 25.75 crore). The movie did net business of approximately Rs 80 million on Friday, Rs 97.50 million on Saturday and Rs 80 million on Sunday.

On the other hand, the Rajnikanth - Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Robot (Hindi) failed to make an impression at the box office with opening weekend net collections of approximately Rs 70 million (Rs 7 crore). However, in Tamil Nadu, Endhiran has taken an exceptional opening.

Fox Star Studios India's small budget comedy film Khichdi - The Movie has a decent run at the box office. Despite tough competition, the movie did a gross of approximately Rs 55 million (Rs 5.50 crore). As per Fox Star Studios, the movie's net collections stand at Rs 36 million (Rs 3.60 crore). On Friday, the movie grosses Rs 11.5 million (Rs 1.15 crore) including paid previews, on Saturday the collections stood at Rs 20.8 million (Rs 2.08 crore) and Sunday saw collections to the tune of Rs 22.80 million (Rs 2.28 crore).

The movie collections picked up on Saturday and Sunday across markets like Delhi, Rajasthan, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore and Punjab. In Mumbai and Gujarat, the movie's performance was very good.

Katrina Kaif & Imran Khan togather in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’

Katrina Kaif has acted with most of the hottest actors in Bollywood and her co-star in her upcoming film with Yash Raj productions is no less. The sexy actress is set to act with Imran Khan and Ali Zafar (of Tere Bin Laden fame) in Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Written and directed by debutant Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie is scheduled for a mid-2011 release.

Producer Aditya Chopra’s ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ is a musical rom-com set in the upper middle class families in North India where Imran falls in love with his brother’s fiancé! Director Ali Abbas Zafar, who has been with Yash Raj on films like Badmaash Company, New York, Tashan and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, continues his upward journey with Yash Raj films with this new venture.

Katrina and Ranbir seem to be bonding over some cutting chai and jalebis with some unending lawns in the background (so typical of Yash Raj). We’re bored of seeing Kat looking so frail and …well, undernourished. Someone please give this girl a role with some flesh on her bones! And this is just like another Yash Raj film, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, rehashed.

Pssst! We heard that Katrina Kaif visited a tattoo artiste to choose tattoo designs which will be temporarily inked on her for her ‘rebel’ role in a Yash Raj film. Last time we saw her in tattoos and piercings was in Blue. Better luck this time!

Anjana Anjani wonderful movie to look at

Anjana Anjani is the Hindi movie, released yesterday. Movie tells a wonderful love story between two strangers, Kiran and Akash. One lives in San Francisco and other in New York City. Both of them meet in The Big Apple, and then they both go on a road trip back across the US.

Both, Kiran and Akash go on fulfilling their last wishes on their road journey. Their road journey is packed with lot of adventures, and then there is a twist in their journey.Both of them decided that they will kill themselves by jumping off a bridge, where their lives meet.And then Akash convinces Kiran not to kill herself, and he convinced her to go with him to Las Vegas, where they can make it big.

The movie, Anjana Anjana is directed by Siddharth Raj Anand. The music is given by Vishal Shekhar's music in the movie is good. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shruti Pathak and Mohit Chauhan has sung very good songs in the movie. Cinematography is done by Ravi K Chandran, which is very fabulous.
