John shows off to Asin

Actors John Abraham and Asin have been bonding these days like long lost friends. The two met on the sets of Housefull 2 and sources say that they have remained in touch ever since. "John recently organised a private screening of one of his forthcoming films for Asin. Since, Asin was part of the original, John wanted to know what does she feel about the movie," says a source who's also a part of the film's unit.

But it's not just movies that the two are bonding on; apparently the two are also sharing a lot of tips on workouts. "Asin is very keen on John's workout methods and really appreciates them. John has also shared a lot of tips with her. The two were hanging out a lot when they were shooting together. They even discussed a few movie possibilities, but we don't know the details," the unit member added.

Asin, her staff members on the sets say that she chose to hang out with the boys when they used to get time off from the shooting. "She became a part of the boy's gang. Akshay (Kumar), Mithun (Chakraborthy), John, Riteish (Deshmukh) would hang out together. She felt comfortable with the boys and used to take part in the pranks as well on the sets," her staff member adds.

However it wasn't a smooth start for Asin during the initial phases as she was in trouble because one of her staff members was not granted the visa on time. "Asin flew out without her make-up and hair person. As you know that these people are extremely important for an actorwhen they are shooting. However, everybody helped out Asin with the hair and make-up during the shoot until her staff member arrived. The make-up artist arrived 15 days later, but by that time Asin was already through more than half of the shooting," the unit member ended.

John join Koffee with Karan without Basu

Speculations about split between Bollywood hunk John Abraham and Bong siren Bipasha Basu have been doing rounds for a while now. John's solo appearance on Karan Johar's Koffee with Karan has further cemented breakup rumours. John Abraham has shot for Koffee with Karan contrary to the reports that Karan Johar is unable to find celebrities for the show and there would be only repeat telecasts.

Although John turned up on the show without Bipasha, he did not announce his breakup, informed the tabloid. In the past also, the couple has been making public appearances without each other. Growing distance between them is attributed to John's refusal for marriage, reportedly. The duo have dated each other for more than eight years.

Bipasha Basu and John Abraham to attend Durga puja togather

In her own words, actress Bipasha Basu took actor-beau John Abraham to her hometown in Kolkata seven years ago, when they were just a year-old in their relationship. The star couple are once again Kolkata- bound for some family time with Bipasha’s parents, sisters —Bidisha and Vijayeta, and her extended family for Durga puja. The actor this time is looking forward to it for more than one reason.

“It’s my mother’s birthday on Nabami (October 16), and I’m planning to give her a surprise. I’m also dying to see my niece (Bidisha’s three-year-old daughter), who I’ve not seen for a long time. Yes, it is going to be one big family reunion,” says Bipasha. “Last time when I went with John it was pandemonium.

The only thing that she misses about not celebrating Durga puja in Mumbai is not being able to spend time with her friend and actor Rani Mukherjee at the Durga puja held by her family (organised by the North Bombay Sarbojonin Durga Puja Charitable Trust and supported by DNA).

“Attending the family puja organised by the Mukerji clan is a tradition that I’ve followed even when I was a model. It used to be the closest to my house. It’s around this time that I became friends with Rani and got close to the family. I have some fondest memories of the Durga puja there, after I moved to Mumbai. I am a regular there, and it has always kept me in touch with my roots,” she says.

John Abraham: Bipasha Basu likes nerdy look

The way director Abbas Tyrewala has transformed the heartthrob hunk John Abraham into a bespectacled geek has got everyone scratching their heads in disbelief. John’s new nerdy look is for Tyrewala’s second directorial venture Jhootha Hi Sahi which introduces the director’s wife Pakhi.

In fact, John’s girlfriend Bipasha Basu has taken quite a liking to his new look. “When Bipasha saw my look in the film, she said that if there is any director who has managed to break me down physically and in terms of a character on screen, it’s Abbas,” John told reporters at a bookstore in Mumbai to promote the film.

“She (Bipasha) completely loves my look. She said that this is the film I want to watch because it’s very unique, very fresh,” he added. As a part of the promotion, John distributed the copies of Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography ‘My Experiments With Truth’ at the bookstore. Ironically, he plays a liar in the film.

Katrina and John, back together?

Katrina Kaif and John Abraham may once again be cast opposite each other. After New York and Dostana 2, the pair is being considered for the remake of the Tamil hit Kaakha Kaakha directed by Vipul Shah. Now that the shooting of Dostana 2 has been postponed to late 2011, John Abraham has time to start shooting for the Hindi remake of Tamil film Kaakha Kaakha this week itself.

John will be playing the lead role that Tamil actor Surya played in the original film. Katrina is a dear friend of both John and Vipul, and has been asked to play the leading lady in the film, reported the Mumbai Mirror. This role was played by South Indian actress Jyotika in the original film.

And now with this postponement Katrina might have some time left to do the film as well. She admits the sudden postponement of Dostana 2 has left her dates diary disengaged, adding that something else is being worked out. We hear that that something else is a YRF project with Imran Khan, but maybe she will have time for both! We will wait and watch!

Katrina to join John Abraham on Kaakha Kaakha

Dostana 2 being postponed to late 2011 has given John Abraham free time to start shooting the Hindi remake of Kaakha Kaakha with director Nishikant Kamat.

The actor starts shooting for Kaakha Kaakha this week. His Dostana 2 leading lady Katrina Kaif finds herself with free time.

On her hands and might end up pairing with John in this film. Producer Vipul Shah commends Tarun Mansukhani for his decision to postpone Dostana 2.

"It's commendable that Tarun decided to wait until he was happy with his script. We were to start our remake of Kaakha Kaakha in April but we pushed it ahead as we were not happy with our script. We've now revamped Kaakha Kaakha."

Vipul says Johnny Boy's leading lady is yet to finalised. Here's where John's project stands to benefit further from the postponement of Dostana 2. Katrina Kaif, a dear friend to both John and Vipul Shah, is being asked to take over the leading lady's place in the project and apparently KK is on.

When contacted, Kat says the sudden postponement of Dostana 2 has left her dates diary disengaged. "Something else is being worked out," she offers evasively.So if not Dostana 2, Kat will do the Kaakha Kaakha remake with John.

Bips suffers shaadi blues

John Abraham is not proposing to his girlfriend of nine years Bipasha Basu just yet. Both the actors are currently committed to making the most of their Bollywood innings. And since they’re also enjoying their relationship, neither is in any hurry to walk down the altar. But the actual shaadi ceremony is something I have avoided all these years.” Of course, when John pops the question, which he ultimately will, then Bips has no issues being the beaming bride in full finery.

Dhoni's wedding was planned, says Bipasha

Contrary to rumours that Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni decided to get married on the spur of the moment, actress Bipasha Basu, a close friend of the cricketer, says the wedding was planned months in advance.

Bipasha said, "The wedding on Sunday night was all planned. But no one was supposed to know about it. Whatever the truth, we must all be happy for the couple. It's party time!"

Alas, Bipasha's party for Dhoni's wedding would have to wait. She is shooting in the back of the beyond and couldn't join her boyfriend John Abraham for the wedding ceremony.

Says the saddened actress: "I couldn't go for the wedding because I'm shooting in Diu for Priyadarshan's Aakrosh. But John is there. He's back on Monday. I'll celebrate with Dhoni and his wife when they return to Mumbai."

Contrary to earlier reports, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu are not pairing up again for the sequel to Jism, the film which played a played a pivotal role in shaping their careers.

Former actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, who’s making the sequel, says that she might be opting for fresh faces John.

And Bipasha are dead in Jism and I don’t want to bring them back from the dead. I want to keep it the way it ended.

No, I am not even considering them for cameos in flashbacks because I think I will be wasting them if I cast them that way.

Don’t you think that I should be casting them in a full-fledged role if I cast them?” asks Pooja. Pooja reveals.

Pooja admits that she has also kept an option of organizing a reality show to cast her lead actors. “But you know I am not going to start my film with any actor. If the winner of the show doesn’t have the qualities I am looking for then I am not going to cast them in my film. It’s my film and it is going to be my call in the end. I haven’t yet decided how I am going to cast people,” she adds.

John Abraham - To be seen on ‘Tower Bridge!

Ask John Abraham, what on Earth was he doing on Tower Bridge recently? Pat would come the reply, shooting of course!

Well, reportedly, the actor, who was in London for his film 1-800-Love, was doing his own stunts on this bridge for this film.

The film is being directed by Abbas Tyrewala, and he has roped in the best International help, by taking in David Bryan’s help to give the film an International appeal.

The Art director, who is art director of the Oscar winner ‘The Hurt Locker’, has been all praises for the Indian actor John. According to sources.

He has been very impressed with the action sequences that the actor has done inthe film. As John, insisted on doing his own stunts, it was very much a show stopper for all the unit members.

During the filming of shots on the bridge, all traffic was stopped for 3-4 days, even the boat traffic under the bridge was not allowed to pass through during those days.

The film 1-800-Love, is a romantic comedy, and is already on the verge of post production stage. The film is slated to release soon and Abbas Tyrewala is leaving no stones unturned to make it an Internationally appealing film.

On Tower Bridge for 3 nights and had shot several scenes with even boat traffic on the Thames being restricted! David's first release after The Hurt Locker is to be Abbas's film, which is now under post-production. Speaking on this film, David said, "We wanted to portray the real London that is rarely seen, it's an amazing city with very diverse locations.

In particular we were looking for a real iconic Studio Apartment for our lead actor John Abraham. Later in autumn, the climax to the film grew into an epic 4 nights filming on Tower Bridge with John doing his own stunts, a real star!" He went on to further add, "Working with a Bollywood crew was a great experience, much more than on a similar British film."

Expectations are already high from Abbas's new film, coming as it does on the heels of the scripting and debut directorial magic that he displayed in the smash hit Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
