This must be the exact feeling enveloping director Prakash Jha, when Deepika requested him for something. While most actors do it by reserving their demands on their directors, Deepy charmingly requested her director to get her way. Okay, now not holding on to the surprise any further, Deepika has a special wish.

The actor wanted a song like 'Mora Piya' from the film 'Rajneeti' to be picturised on her — just like the way it was picturised on actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Known for the melodious music in his films, Jha, for his upcoming film 'Aarakshan', was surprised when he heard of Deepy's request. A source adds, "Deepika is a smart girl and knows exactly how to put forward her wishes. Before the film's shooting, Deepika requested via sms to Prakash Jha to feature a love ballad on her, with a happy face smiley at the end. And her wish was granted. It was bound to — as where most actors reserve peculiar demands for their directors and are in the news for their tantrums. It was clear that Deepika's charming approach to get her special song worked."

When asked about the request, Deepika said, "I remember how 'Mora piya' was such a rage. I remember messaging him (Prakash Jha) to please give me a good romantic song in his new film because Prakashji has a really good sense of music. I was really looking forward to shooting this song and it's turned out amazing. Till now, Mora piya was always played on loop on my mp3 player wherever I was travelling. But now its 'Seedhe point pe aaona', which is such a playful and cute romantic song."

The song features Deepika opposite actor Saif Ali Khan. Just like the Ranbir-Kat chemistry, there is a lot of buzz about Deepika-Saif's camaraderie, which was visible in their earlier film 'Love Aaj Kal'. But we'll have to wait and watch to know if this number becomes a hit amongst the youth... given that the song is a result of Deepika's sweet persuasion.

Padukone and Kapoor are good friends again

Deepika Padukone's personal life often ends up making more headlines than her professional life does. The latest gossip about Deepika that is doing rounds is that she claims she is still great friends with ex-beau Ranbir Kapoor.

Deepika was quizzed about her relationship with Ranbir on a chat show and she commented that she still considers him as her good friend. She later added that both of them are in an amazing phase as they spend a lot of time together and it has been a wonderful experience for both.

The actress also confessed that even though they are not dating now, but he has still been there for her whenever she needed him. We must say that Dippy surely knows how to be in the good books of everyone.

Band Baaja Baarat girl Anushka Sharma has replaced Deepika Padukone. Buzz has it Anushka will romance Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukherjee's upcoming venture. Earlier Deepika was supposed to play the female lead in the film.This will be Ayan Mukherjee's second film with Ranbir, who has earlier worked with him in Wake Up Sid. Like the previous outing, this film too will be produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.

Deepika's skirt to be auctioned for Khan's Being Human

How? Director Rohan Sippy has decided to auction the skimpy outfit for charity. After all the negative publicity (but then, isn’t any publicity good publicity) it appears Sippy wants a few brownie points and is set to auction the skirt online and donate the proceeds from the auction to Being Human, the charity run by Salman Khan.

From what we hear, while promoting Dum Maaro Dum in different cities, Sippy himself saw the craze that Deepika’s outfit had evoked among cine fans. So he decided to auction it through the film’s official website. The film releases on April 22. Meanwhile, those who want to grab Deepika’s skirt, better place their best bet.

Deepika Padukone honored with the title of tattoo queen

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has been honored with the title oftattoo queen by the organizers of the first ever Tattoo Convention in India.

Deepika has a tattoo of the initials of her ex beau Ranbir and another tattoo of an anklet.

After watching the 25 year old actress grooving in the remixed version of the popular song Dum Maaro Dum, the IndiaInk Invention contacted Deepika and approached her to visit their first convention, which was scheduled on 10th April.

But unfortunately she could not be a part of the convention as she was busy shooting in London for her upcoming film Desi Boyz.

The convention’s organiser Manoj Thakur, Partner at Par Excellence Entertainment stated “Deepika’s absence was felt, especially at an event that she would have readily identified with. With her own much-written about RK tattoo at the base of her neck and the cutting-edge Dum Maaro Dum tattoo she’s seen sporting in the movie, she would have been the perfect ambassador for this tattoo expo.”

As she could not attend the event, she forwarded the invitation to her Dum Maaro Dum team. The convention was instead attended by Abhishek Bachchan, Prateik and Rohan Sippy.

At the convention, the cast of the film also launched a special Dum Maaro Dumtattoo.

Deepika gets a call and praise from Zeenat

Veteran actress Zeenat Aman, who has been rumoured to be upset about the lyrics of the new version of her song ‘Dum maaro dum’, picturised on Deepika Padukone, has reached out to the young actress and congratulated her for looking ‘ravishing’, says a source.

‘Zeenat Aman reached out to Deepika and cleared the miscommunication. She didn’t want Deepika to misunderstand,’ said the source. Zeenat, who featured in the original song from the movie ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ in 1971, was disturbed with reports that she didn’t like Deepika in the new version. So, she found out Deepika’s number.

‘Since Deepika is in London shooting for ‘Desi Boyz’, she is using a local London number. So Zeenat Aman spoke to Deepika. She communicated that Deepika looks ravishing and she finds her the best in this generation of heroines,’ said the source. The song has faced the ire of many critics for its vulgar lyrics, but it is quite popular with the youth.

Salman promotes ‘Teen Thay Bhai’: Bollywood star Salman Khan went out of his way to help the cast of ‘Teen Thay Bhai’ in promoting the film and reached out to his friends and fans on Twitter to watch the film, releasing Friday.

Producer Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, along with the cast – Om Puri, Shreyas Talpade and Deepak Dobriyal and Ragini Khanna and director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, were promoting the film and while moving from one floor to another in Mumbai’s Filmistan Studio, when they bumped into Salman.

The actor was also shooting there. ‘Salman asked them what they were promoting and when he heard the name of the film, found it very interesting as he has always been referred to as Salman bhai and the film is called ‘Teen Thay Bhai’. Then he very graciously wanted to take a picture with the entire cast and immediately put it up on Twitter.

‘He posted the picture, which also included Rakeysh, and put up a note, which read – ‘Teen thay bhai aur ek mein’. He also mentioned the release date. It is really nice of him to do this,’ said the publicist of the film.

The movie is a comedy about three brothers who cannot stand each other and are forced to come together as a result of their grandfather’s will.

Pooja Bhatt thanks dad for ‘Zakhm’ When actress-turned-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt recently watched her performance in critically-acclaimed film ‘Zakhm’, she immediately thanked her father Mahesh Bhatt for giving her such a special project.

‘Just caught a glimpse of ‘Zakhm’ on TV. Thank you @MaheshNBhatt for giving me a film that will be highlighted in my obituary… And thank you Kunal Khemu… All of us actors, without exception,shone as brightly, on account of your dazzling performance!’ Pooja posted on her Twitter page.

In ‘Zakhm’, which was released in 1998, Pooja essayed the role of a Muslim mother caught in the tension between different religions in Indian society.

Gupta shimmies in advance of Padukone

In the retro wave that’s hit Bollywood, many of yesteryear star Zeenat Aman’s chartbusters are finding their way into films of today. However, the actress, not known to make much ado over her films or songs being remade, says she’s ‘disappointed’ with the way one of her iconic song, 'Dum maaro dum', has turned out with actor Deepika Padukone in it. The actress, however, is quite happy with another remake of her song with item girl Yana Gupta in it.

“I couldn’t sit through the song 'Dum maaro dum'. I am disappointed with it,” says Zeenat, “I didn’t like it. I am sure Deepika (Padukone) is a fabulous dancer and a performer, but I would like to reserve my comments on how the song was done,” she adds.

According to sources, Aman didn’t like the way an apparently ‘high’ Padukone was jumping in the song in a white mini skirt that she thought didn’t suit her or the song. “I don’t know whether I would be able to watch the entire song, but I wish Deepika all the best. She’s a fabulous performer and actor otherwise,” adds Aman.

Interestingly, Aman throws her weight behind Yana Gupta’s version of her iconic song, 'Laila O Laila' in Mahesh Bhupathi’s film Chalo Dilli. “I was a little apprehensive about how they would do the song. They have left a DVD at my house to watch it frame by frame, but I already like what I see,” she says. “I’m completely confident with Yana. She’s a sensual lady and a wonderful dancer. I am sure that they’ll do complete justice to the song through her,” she ends.

Kapoor miffed with Padukone

Seems like Kareena Kapoor is miffed with Deepika Padukone! Kareena is really upset with Deepika for spreading rumours that Dips was the first choice for Chamak Challo in Ra.One.

A source told Mid-Day, "Recently, Dippy has been telling anyone willing to hear that she was the original choice for the Chamak Challo dance number in Ra.One and that producer Shah Rukh Khan had her in mind for the item number.

A close source of Bebo told the tabloid, "Chamak Challo is not even an item number. Kareena is the film's heroine and the song is part of the story so how can Deepika even be considered?

Deepika will slip into the shoes of yesteryear actress Zeenat Aman in the remixed version of the ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’ original. The song also happens to be the title track and will only be used as a part of the film’s promotion The music score has been put together by Pritam Chakraborty and Jaideep Sahni has penned down the lyrics of the remix version of this iconic number.

According to the reports circulating in the media, the new song has some very objectionable language and bold words. The song was recently shot in the Mehboob studio where the hot and sexy actress was seen flaunting her new cobra tattoo on her torso. The spicy track has Deepika at her seductive best, adding the requisite oomph factor in the song.

Keeping today’s very young and modern generation in mind, the remix is contemporary and extremely urban. Deepika was initially doubtful to do the song because of the offensive lyrics, however shedding all her inhibitions later, the actress made sure that she looks hot in the dance number. Asin replaces Deepika in Housefull 2

South Indian actress Asin has replaced dimpled hottie Deepika Padukone in Sajid Khan’s comedy film ‘Housefull 2’. The ‘Ghajini’ star will play Akshay Kumar’s love interest in the film.

Apparently, after a number of failed attempts, Khan successfully managed to get Asin onboard. Buzz has it that Dips had opted out of the film to team up with Sajid Nadiadwala for ‘Heer Aur Ranjha’. Reportedly, Deepika had certain issues about her dates and was not in a position to commit to Khan.

However, it will be for the first time ever that Asin will be sharing screen space with the Khiladi of Bollywood. The actress had earlier got a chance to romance Akki when director Priyadarshan had offered her ‘De Dana Dan’. But she chose to opt out of it.

Dum maro dum is a remake of Amitabh’s famous zanzeer film. Rohan sippy is the director of the film. Its a 2011 release.

Katrina Kaif not satisfied around Deepika Padukone

Papa Rishi Kapoor, who is also co-producing Ranbir's first world tour, is leaving no stone unturned to make it successful. It’s learnt that Kat was not completely comfortable with the idea of accompanying dishy Deeps on Ranbir’s first ever world tour, that too for a whole month. Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif in ‘Housefull 2’

The latest buzz in the tinsel town is that two reigning beauties of Bollywood Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone are professional rivals and don’t see eye to eye. But, it’s significant that the long time rivals will soon be seen in the sequel to Sajid Khan's ‘Houseful’. Though Deepika was already there, Katrina will be added to have more spice in the movie. And, if sources are to be believed, the ‘Houseful’ sequel will see a lot of new faces. This movie about coming of age and relationships has taught Deepika a lesson or two in real life she confides. “After doing the movie, I came to know that people can actually give their love life a second try after putting in some space between each other. The concept is very new for me as I hail from a conservative family. Also I have grown up watching elders being happily married and spending their life with one person without ever wanting a break. I also learnt that a certain amount of tolerance is needed to make a relationship work,” she says.

The model-turned-actor who went through a much hyped break up with Ranbir Kapoor feels if there is no scope of a reconciliation it’s better to move on.“ I feel if a relationship has turned sour then one needs to move on in life. There is no point in sitting and crying over the spilt milk. It’s important to move on in life. We all have strength within ourselves to control our feelings and go ahead. We need to leave all the negativity that we may have experienced in our relationship and move on,” opines Deepika.

But moving on doesn’t mean severing all ties with your ex-flame, you can still be friends claims the actor. “When in relationship we feel that person is very important to us. The moments spent with him/her memorable. But when a relationship doesn’t work out you need not harbour any grudges. Instead create positivity, carry all the good things and maintain your friendship with him/her,” she quips.

Much has been written about Deepika and Ranbir some of it true and some of it mere rumours. But when asked about her ex-beau, Deepika does not restrain from commenting. “As I have said earlier too we are good friends,” avers the actor.

Having learnt from experience, Deepika also has a bit of advice for the ones coping with a break up. “Maintaining a relationship requires a lot of give and take. Sacrifices have to be made by both the couple.

Establishing a comfort level is also essential to carry forward a relationship. But if it still does not work out then we need not give up life. We need to attend to so many other things in our life time.

And she has moved on as she is currently said to be dating business tycoon Sidharth Mallya, but once bitten twice shy, Deepika is cautious about talking of her present relationship. “I will not comment on this. A lot of media attention was given to my personal life because I was vocal about my relationship with Ranbir. Hence, I have decided to not talk about my personal life anymore,” she confirms.

But recently did she go for an eye check up with Sidharth as was quoted by many newspapers? “Smiles…I have my glasses. I don’t need to go for an eye check up now. Things were blown out of proportions by the media.” she replies.

Moving on to discussing about friends and foes in the industry, Deepika clarifies that all is well between her and Sonam. “I have no grudges against Sonam. It’s the media that’s creating such hypes. Karan’s show is not to be taken seriously. He asks tongue in cheek questions but it is all done in good humour.”

She also maintains that she doesn’t have very close friends in Bollywood. “I am so busy that I do not have much time to find a best friend in the industry. Moreover, whenever we are working we meet each other frequently, converse and then as soon as the film is over we don’t get to see each other. But while working together I have always shared a good rapport with my co-stars.” she declares.

Is it a conscious effort on her part to stay away from bonding much with the film fraternity because of the shallow relationships and double standard? Pat comes her reply, “There are no double standards in the industry. I would only say that sometimes they do not appreciate honest people. At times, honest assessments put them off. They should learn to accept things as they are and not crave for false appreciation.”And last but not the least, talking about Break Ke Baad, she says, “In this film Danish Alam has tried to bring forth the contemporary love life of today’s youth."
