It is often said that the trendy clothes that the film stars wear are not what the ordinary folk on the street can afford to wear.Yes, that could have been true ten years from now. But the rate at which.
The gals of the majority public are going now, everyone wants to wear what the silver screen goddesses are wearing.
The magic lies in selecting the right cut and colour which should be decided in the type of body structure that a person has.

There is nothing to worry about; if you happen to fall in this category then you have more good news than you think you can actually have. The reason being that most of our bollywood beauties right from the yester years to this modern clan fall into this category.

Akshay wants Katrina to recover quickly

'Kurbaan' fails to impress audiences
The entire film industry is in a state of shock. Believe me, I was inundated with calls all wanting to know one thing: Why didn't ‘Kurbaan’ fetch an initial?‘Kurbaan’ had everything going in its favour... Karan Johar has.An impeccable track record as a film-maker. Every film produced by Karan has had a potent start at the ticket window. Saif Ali Khan's status, after ‘Love Aaj Kal’, has been at an all-time high. The Saif - Kareena combo had hit headlines since the time they made their relationship public.
The combo looked great. UTV, the global distributors of ‘Kurbaan’, had promoted the film extensively. Solo release status. ‘Kurbaan’ had no major opposition to contend with. Naturally, everyone expected ‘Kurbaan’ to start with a bang for the above-mentioned five reasons.
But the opening weekend numbers were shockingly low. Despite glowing reviews from critics who matter, ‘Kurbaan’ showed no signs of pick up after a weak Friday. So what went wrong? A section of the industry feels that moviegoers aren't interested in watching serious/intense stories.
Another viewpoint is that a big chunk of movie-going audience stayed away from the film. Yet another opinion is that the common man had already exhausted his budget after watching ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ and ‘2012’.
A section of the industry also feels that UTV shouldn't have released ‘Kurbaan’ extensively [approx. 1700 screens globally]. ‘Kurbaan’ is not a mass appealing film like ‘Ghajini’ or ‘Wanted’, so why such a wide release?
I disagree. UTV had paid a fabulous amount for its global rights and with ‘De Dana Dan’ slated for release next Friday, UTV knew ‘Kurbaan’ had just one week to score and the only way to do so was to have a wide release.
Had ‘Kurbaan’ fetched a thunderous start, the same decision would've been hailed by the industryfolk. As things stand today, UTV will lose a substantial chunk of their investment, for sure. Truly, box-office can be most unpredictable!
Overseas performance Karan Johar's much-awaited 'Kurbaan' was expected to fetch a flying start in the international markets, but it didn't. The film has under-performed in the three key markets - U.K. [strictly average, due to the 15 certificate], U.S.A. [quite good] and Australia [ordinary]. The combined total from these three markets is approx. Rs. 3.50 crores. Disappointing! U.K. BOX-OFFICE
'Kurbaan' has debuted at No. 11 position. In its opening weekend, the film has collected £ 1,64,468 [approx. Rs. 1.27 crores] on 44 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 3,738. Incl. Thursday previews.

'Tum Mile' [last weekend: No. 21, this weekend: No. 35]: In its second weekend, the film has collected £ 2,656 on 6 screens, with the per screen average working out to £ 443. Total: £ 38,005 [approx. I am no guru, " Akshay told in an interview. "I don't make it a hobby to help heroines. I wait and I watch and I will of course be there to guide any damsel in distress. However, a 'Katrina' doesn't walk by a film set everyday. They are one in a million for a reason, " the star said.
Together, Akshay and Katrina have given super hits like "Singh Is Kinng" and "Welcome". While "Namastey London" was also successful, their first film together "Hum Ko Deewana Kar Gaye" was a decent box office grosser.
On the other hand Akshay has a cent percent success rate with Priyanka as well with hits like "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi", "Waqt - Race Against Time", "Aitraaz" and "Andaaz". The latest Akshay and Katrina starrer "De Dana Dan" is now ready to hit the screens. The actress has time and again said that she consented to act in a film by Priyadarshan mainly due to Akshay.

Currently Bollywood is going through an era of sequels, so why should the Roshan's stay back?The recent buzz around town is that Rakesh Roshan has started to map out the sequel to Krrish.
The venture is anticipated to hit the silver screen in about 9 months time.

Whether one loves her or not, after her strong performance in TUM MILE, no one can ignore Soha Ali Khan.The actor chats up with correspondent on why she relented to do kissing scene with Emraan Hashmi and the kind of films she is looking for
Unlike your contemporaries, you mostly choose character-based roles (like in RANG DE BASANTI), rather than hero-heroine type.
Is it a conscious decision?
Yes, very much. I am more keen on doing substantial lead roles with some meat in them; not necessarily the hero-heroine types.
I am too choosy when it comes to picking my kind of script. KHOYA KHOYA CHAND was my first lead contemporary role and now it's TUM MILE. In fact, TUM MILE is the most beautiful film in my entire career...I had to triple my efforts to play 'Sanjana' in the film. It's the most challenging role I have got to do so far.
You are new to the Bhatt camp. How was the experience like?
This is the first time I worked for the Bhatts-Vishesh Films. I have always been a fan of Mahesh Bhatt because of his sensible yet exciting films; especially his romantic films-they are so electrifying and realistic. And I don't know how, the music of all his films is always superb. So what more can an actor ask for! I hope this is a start of a long association with them.
What was your first reaction when you heard that Emraan has been cast opposite you?
(Laughs) I know what you mean... I was slightly apprehensive because I know what it means to sign a film opposite Emraan. I was aware that when you do a film with him there are things that go hand-in-hand, or rather lip-to-lip. But I relented. The story was so good that I said to myself -'If I have to kiss him for this film I will do that'.
Were you comfortable kissing him? Honestly, the kiss didn't register at all...it was so natural. I myself was pleasantly surprised that it happened so smoothly. It was more my type of kiss than the ones Emraan is famous for (giggles).
The film is about live-in couples and their problems. What will you go for in personal life-live-in or marriage? I would like to live in with the person I want to marry before taking a final call on the decision; because it is one thing to fall in love and another thing to stay in love.
How much your mother (Sharmila Tagore) and brother (Saif Ali Khan) interfere when it comes to choosing films? They don't interfere at all. But they are very sharp critics and always give tips, especially my mother. No matter how much I give to the character, she always has something or the other to say. Thankfully after watching TUM MILE she had only good things to say about my acting.
You are also doing a film with your mother... Yes, it's called LIFE GOES ON...and I am learning a lot from her. What about a film with your brother? I don't mind doing a film with him. But I don't want to play Saif's sister in the film.
Are you a partyholic? I am not a partyholic or a nightclub person. But I am often dragged there by friends. What do you do when not shooting? I love listening to music...any form of rock with a lot of acoustics. We don't find you in elaborate designer wear very often... That's because, I generally prefer wearing casual, urban leisure wear.

Bipasha Basu looks all set to create a new record on television. The buzz is that.The Bong bombshell will host an upcoming reality show, Female Model Hunt, for a whopping Rs 65-70 lakh per episode.
If the deal comes through, Bipasha will become the highest-paid woman celebrity on Indian television.
Female Model Hunt will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan's TV software production company Red Chillies Idiot Box and is based on popular US show America's Next Top Model.
Red Chillies has started inviting applications from contestants on its website, though they are yet to finalise which channel will air the show.
Bipasha's paycheque will be fatter than those of other Bollywood actresses.
In the 30-plus bracket, including Preity Zinta, Sushmita Sen and Rani Mukherji. "Older filmstars have an emotional connect with TV viewers.
Plus, actresses such as Bipasha, Preity, Rani and Sushmita stand to gain from TV because younger faces are taking over the big screen. It also helps them stay in touch with their big fan base," says Manish Porwal, CEO of Percept Talent Management.
Says ad guru Prahlad Kakkar:
"Money is obviously the biggest driving force for Bipasha. Who wouldn't agree to do a show if she is offered Rs 60-70 lakh per episode? Plus, actresses like Bipasha, Preity and Rani aren't really busy with films these days." Preity is believed to have signed The Preity Zinta Show, a celebrity chat show. The actress is reportedly set to receive Rs 60 lakh per episode.
Sushmita might have no new films in hand after the debacle of Do Knot Disturb recently, but the former Miss Universe is believed to have been offered almost Rs 50 lakh for an appearance in one episode on NDTV Imagine's upcoming show, Raaz Pichlay Janam Ka. Rani, too, is creating a buzz with her debut television stint as celebrity judge on Sony's Dance Premier League. Although her last film Dil Bole Hadippa flopped, she is earning Rs 50 lakh per episode for doling out a few comments on the contestants' moves.
"There are a lot of audiences who don't visit the theatre, but enjoy getting entertained in their homes. So, this is a very good medium to connect with millions of my fans," Rani said. "After Amitabh Bachchan's successful stint with Kaun Banega Crorepati, Bollywood stars realised they can easily go back to films after making big money on TV. Also, the small screen is witnessing a lot of innovation, which gives the stars various opportunities," says Porwal.
In the past, Madhuri Dixit and Shilpa Shetty made their debuts on the small screen. While Madhuri hosted the flop matrimony-based TV show, Kahin Na Kahin Koi Hai, Shilpa was the host of Bigg Boss season 2 last year.

Incidentally, the central protagonists of these films are Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan respectively, both of whom were seen together as a pair in KISMAT KONNECTION.
Both films were originally meant to arrive in 2008. However, Shahid Kapoor had two back-to-back releases in the form of KAMINEY and DIL BOLE HADIPPA and it made sense for him to space out his film. On the other hand ISHQIYA had to keep it’s release on hold since there was a flurry of releases in the last quarter of 2009.
What surprises most about the release of ISHQIYA is the fact that it was originally contemplating a 22nd January arrival. While 12th February too was being thought of (due to the relevance of bringing the love story over the Valentine weekend), confirmation of MY NAME IS KHAN resulted in change of plans. While 22nd January had appeared to be a confirmed day of arrival, a sudden pre-poning by a week looks more than just a coincidence, considering the fact it clashes with Shahid’s CHANCE PE DANCE.
However, to be fair to the decision of the makers, 22nd January is anyways crowded with RANN and VEER arriving on the same day. In comparison, 15th January looks much lighter with only CHANCE PE DANCE looking probable so far. Confirms Vidya, “Yes, I was told over the weekend that 15th January is final for ISHQIYA. Beyond that, I don’t have any knowledge about the reason behind the fixing of the release date.”
Starring Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead roles, ISHQIYA is directed by first timer Abhishek Chaubhey and is a co-production of Vishal Bhardwaj and Shemaroo’s Raman Maroo. On the other hand IT’S MY LIFE is a UTV production, features Genelia D’Souza as the leading lady and has film maker Ken Ghosh at the helm of affairs.

BIPASHA BASU MAY scream from the rooftops that it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s insecurity that got her ousted from Ravana but industry insiders are refusing to believe herIn fact, a source tells us that Bipasha was never considered to be a part of Ravana, in the first place.
Director Mani Ratnam likes having item numbers in his movies - like he did in Dil Se (Chaiya Chaiya) and in Guru (Maiya Maiya) and was toying with.
The idea of having something similar in Ravana as well. Sources from the set of the film say Mani was planning to introduce the character of Mandodari, Ravana’s beautiful wife into the film.
This character was to do a seductive item number and a few scenes and then exit, an exact seven minute role.
When news spread that Mani was scouting for an actress to do an item number and a guest appearance in his film, Bipasha was one of the first actresses to push herself for this role.
“The character of Mandodari called for someone sexy and seductive, and many actresses were being considered. Bipasha wasn’t even on the top of Mani’s list. But Bipasha went ahead and told the press that she was offered a supporting role in Ravana,” says the source.
Unfortunately for her Mani had second thoughts about this item number. When Bipasha heard this she got nervous. She was worried that she would become a joke in the industry. A source close to her reveals, “Bipasha had announced to all and sundry that she was playing the parallel lead in a Mani Ratnam film.
This would definitely add to her market rate. But when she heard that the role was non-existent Bipasha realised she would become the laughing stock of the industry. “Bipasha flew to Kerala and pleaded with Mani Sir not to talk to the press that she was never the first choice for the film. Initially angry at her behaviour Mani, later, understood her plight and obliged her.”
However, Mani was later shocked when he heard from the grapevine that Bipasha was claiming that Aishwarya had used her friendship with his wife to oust Bipasha from the film. The source reveals, “Mani Sir doesn’t pay attention to gossip. He just laughed it off and remarked ‘if I let my wife and my heroines decide the cast of my film, I might as well let them direct the whole film’. Bipasha, apparently, has now become a joke on the set of the film.
