Mahesh Bhatt: Jacqueline is even Hotter than Bipasha, Mallika

Mahesh Bhatt, the brain behind Murder and its sequel, admits that Jacqueline is bolder than Jism’s Bipasha Basu and Murder’s Mallika Sherawat. Says he, “We at Vishesh Films decided to make films with a high quotient of erotica to cater to the new consumer who is living a life radically different from the life I lived in my youth. “Bollywood cinema was slow to realise this but society had moved on. That is why when we made Jism and Murder and Raaz, the audience lapped it up. They had no problems with it. But the purists were outraged.

Mahesh Bhatt: Jacqueline is even Hotter than Bipasha, Mallika“For the first time in Indian cinema, Bipasha uttered the words, “the body doesn’t know love, it only knows lust.” Then we had Mallika in Murder who sleeps with another man and returns to her marriage only because her affair isn’t working out. She has an intensely fulfilling sexual extra-marital relationship and feels no guilt. This is the post modern Indian woman.

“The India in which we were groomed, was shackled to certain beliefs. In the cinema made by our predecessors — Raj Kapoor and Raj Khosla — we were invariably shown that good people fell in love while bad people had sex.

“For me, the eye-opener came when I saw Jism in Delhi and found 70 per cent of the audience comprised of rich women. It was not just being viewed by sex-hungry frontbenchers but also by an evolved upmarket audience. “Raaz was simply the precursor. With Murder 2, women have gone one step further. Jacqueline is a different animal from Mallika and Bipasha. While they sinned with their eyes open but still yearned to conform towards the end; for Murder 2’s Jackie, sex is even more casual. For her sex is like an expression. She does it as casually as she would inhale or exhale. That is what it is.” The film releases worldwide on July 8.

Jacqueline and Emraan go explicit in Murder 2

Jacqueline and Emraan go explicit in Murder 2The Emraan Hashmi-Jacqueline Fernandes starrer has a serial killer on the prowl targeting women of all age groups

Murder 2 will feature serial killings apart from explicit scenes between lead pair Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandes.

Producers Mukesh and Mahesh Bhatt, director Mohit Suri and writer Shagufta Rafique wanted to take the gory story to a heightened level.

Says Suri, "The film is set in Goa and unfolds around Christmas and New Year, the peak tourist season. Milling crowds make it impossible for the authorities to keep tabs on everyone and everything."

The film has a serial killer on the loose and he targets women.

Adds Mohit, "We have incorporated several real-life incidents like women's bodies being found on Goa's beaches as well as the Nithari killings which rocked Noida, when discovered in 2007."

Shagufta reveals, "The murderer is the suspense angle of the film. Murder 2 is pronounced with a pathological killer at work." The flick is currently in post-production.

Ready to shed clothes if role demands it: Jacqueline Fernandez

Ready to shed clothes if role demands it: Jacqueline FernandezBollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez who has replaced Mallika Sherawat in ‘Murder 2′ says she is ready to shed her clothes if the role demands it.

‘Of course, otherwise why are you an actor,’ said Jacqueline when asked is she would be ready to shed her inhibitions if the script demands.

‘Why are you an actor if you are not going to give your whole to a role. Otherwise don’t be an actor that’s what I think,’ said Jacqueline while talking to reporters at the sidelines of ‘Let’s Design season -3′ programme in Kolkata.

‘Murder-2′ is as a sequel of the 2004 movie ‘Murder’ – which had steamy scenes and was one of the hits of 2004.

‘I don’t know why people are actors when they are not ready to do it. If you are an actor you should be ready to do it. I am a serious actor and I am ready to do it for a character,’ said the 26- year old actress.

Jacqueline had earlier worked in ‘Aladin’ and ‘Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai’ opposite Ritesh Deshmukh. Her acting in ‘Aladin’ had earned her International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) award and Stardust award for best female debut in 2010.

Jacqueline Fernandez imitates Big B

Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline Fernandez, who started in the Hindi film industry with Aladin, got her true taste of Bollywood.

While shooting for Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai where she had to imitate screen icons like Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra.

Till about a few months back, the only Bollywood personality that Jacqueline knew was Big B, Riteish Deshmukh.

And Sanjay Dutt, her co-stars in Aladin. However, it took a Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai to make her aware.

About other major film personalities like Dharmendra, Mithun Chakravorty, Sunny Deol and Ajay Devgn amongst others.

"Who doesn't know Amitabh Bachchan? After all he is an icon all over, including Sri Lanka.

However, even after stepping into the world of Hindi films, I wasn't really too aware about her other screen personalities.

I am sure not many would mind though, I am still learning," she told PTI. But she had her share of Bollywood celebrities while on the sets of Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. In the film, where.

She plays a woman from planet Venus, Jacqueline is required to be a part of a hilarious sequence where she puts on TV and finds various actors staring from the screen channel after channel. "Yes, this is a hilarious sequence where Jackie, who has just landed from Venus, gets her first taste of Bollywood medicine," said Milap Zaveri, the writer-director of the film.

"As she starts flipping channels, she comes across Himesh Reshammiya, Sunny Deol, Dharmendra, Mithun Chakravorty, Ajay Devgn, Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan. She is quite amazed on seeing their on screen antics and starts copying their trademark dance steps, dialogue delivery and kicks & punches," he added.

So what Jackie gets to see is Himesh Reshammiya coming up with a nasal rendition, Sunny Deol getting into the Yaara O Yaara (Jeet) jig all the way, Sridevi coming up with her historic Nagina act, Dharmendra with his 'jat yamla' persona, Mithun's disco-dancer act and last but not the least, Bachchan's Tiger roar from Hum.

"Milap made me shoot this sequence on the first day of my shoot. I was so nervous. Here I was working in a comedy film with a new director and had to basically mimic these actors. Worse, I had no clue who they were. I asked Milap and he told me that all of them were screen legends in their own rights," remembers Jacqueline.

After the failure of Aladin, Jacqueline has pinned her hopes on Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, which hit theatres today. She recently completed a commercial with Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor and finished shooting for an item number in Housefull.
