Vidya Balan may have been called that in Australia buts its Mallika Sherawat who's getting compared to Kim in the US! We certainly don't think Vidya Balan resembles international socialite Kim Kardashian but if Vidya Balan is to be believed, an Australian guy did think so.

Vidya had revealed that she was mistaken for the most famous Kardashian by the Australian. "I am gay, but you are really hot. By any chance, are you Kim Kardashian?" Vidya quoted the man to say. "I didn't know what to say, so I just smiled," an embarrassed Balan admitted.

After Vidya, its Mallika Sherawat's turn to be compared to Kim Kardashian. After Hollywood celebrity blogger Perez Hilton posted Mallika's picture on his blog saying, "Immersing ourselves more in Bollywood! Catching up with the lovely and gorgeous actress Mallika Sherawat!"

Comments starting to pour in and one of the comments read, "Oh no, Perez, to call her an "actress" is SUCH a stretch of the term, its hardly recognisable. She's the Indian equivalent of Hugh Hefner's playgirls or the Kardashian sisters."

Now we do agree to that to a certain extent don't we? After all she does resemble to the American reality star and socialite in terms of physical appearance and promotional strategies!

Sherawat's tea with Obama

Bollywood's sex symbol Mallika Sherawat met with US President Barack Obama on Thursday in Los Angeles. Mallika was invited to have tea with the US President. According to reports, President Obama has asked Mallika to invite him to the premiere of her soon-to-release film Politics of Love, Barack, a rom-com on the 2008 presidential elections. Mallika had shifted her base to Los Angeles to try her luck in Hollywood, the Murder girl has now returned to Bollywood and will be seen in Dhamaal 2.

This bold girl from Haryana, who rose to fame with her hot sizzling item numbers and passionate kissing scenes has suddenly turnedcamera shy.

When asked to wear a bikini for a scene in “Dhamaal 2”, Mallika stated “You can take the visuals of my body above my waist, but nothing below my waist.”

She said further, “Arrange for a body double. Merge the two shots, mine upper and the body double’s lower, or show it separately. Do whatever you want but no visuals of my lower body.”

The director of the film Indra Kumar stated “I got what I wanted. You will see Mallika in a swimsuit from head to toe. I am not complaining.”

Mallika Sherawat back to item numbers

Following the disaster of her last release “Hisss” at the box-office, the bold Mallika Sherawat has decided to stick to item numbers.

The sexy siren will soon be seen shaking her legs in two item numbers in Chandrakant Singh’s upcoming film “Bin Bulaye Baarati”.

Mallika will be paid a whopping amount of Rs 3 crores for the item number. She will also do an item number in Anees Bazmee’s “Thank You”.

“The shooting of the film ‘Bin Bulaye Baarati’ is already underway in Goa. Anand Milind, who is making a comeback after long, will compose the item songs.”

“Yes, she is doing two item numbers and yes she has been signed on for a huge amount but I would not like to discuss finances in print.”

“It’s a film for the masses, targeted to single screen audiences. That’s why we signed Mallika for the item numbers.”

Mallika Sherawat wins profanity case

Mallika Sherawat has won a case against her for an "obscene" dance performance at a five-star hotel. The actress was sued by Indian morality campaigner Vinod Jain for the dance, which was broadcast live on television in 2006.

Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror, Jain said that he would carry on fighting the case. He commented: "I don’t see this as the end of the road. I agree that Mallika has been discharged legally but I will go to the high court.

"I had given all the evidence via a CD. Let’s see what happens in the high court after I appeal.”In 2008, the Pakistani Film Authority tried to remove scenes from the film Welcome featuring Sherawat because they were too graphic.

Mallika Sherawat will shake leg with Akshay Kumar

The Hot Mallika Sherawat, who recently quit from the dance reality show on Colors “Chak Dhoom Dhoom” on account of a hectic schedule has bonded well with Akshay Kumar. She will be seen shaking her leg with Khiladi Kumar in a raunchy item song “Razia Gundo Mein Phas Gayi” which will be directed by Anees Bazmee. The duo had earlier worked together in “Welcome”. The news of Mallika Sherawat quitting reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom has been made official. She has been replaced by Urmila Matondkar.

A source stated that the channel “tried their best to retain Mallika however, her nakhras kept increasing with the passing of everyday. It reached a point of no return and the makers of the show could not take it anymore.”

Confirming the news Mallika stated “I had developed date issues and spoke to the channel regarding the same. We have parted ways amicably.”

She added “I have shot at a stretch for 15 hours. The next day I had to report for my movie shoot. It was getting very tedious and I didn’t want to harm either of the shoots.”

“In fact, during my Delhi auditions for Chak Dhoom Dhoom, around 15 days ago, I had messaged the channel. It was extremely difficult to manage and the dates were clashing.”

The channel stated that Urmila is an apt replacement as she exactly fits the bill since she is known as the dancing diva.

Mallika Sherawat may be thrown out of Chak Dhoom Dhoom

It seems like Mallika Sherawat's starry tantrums charm only the snakes around her. The actress may just get her booted out of reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom, if she doesn't mend her ways, that is. Sherawat, who is judging the dance reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom, might be thrown out of the show by the channel Colors which is apparently looking to replace the actress, reported Mumbai Mirror. The show which was to be her first reality show, might well become her last, at least for a while.

The actress, who is famous in Hollywood and infamous in Bollywood, seems to be finding herself in people's bad books already. “A few days ago the actress stormed out of the sets of the show, as she complained of not getting a proper break for lunch. In the past we have worked with a lot of stars, including Salman Khan, and they have been thorough professionals and have been there as and when required,” a source told the tabloid.

Apparently, the star even turns up as late as three hours for press conferences and is a bit stingy with one-on-one interviews as well. Sherawat however, denied the punctuality issue, saying, "You guys create all these rumors."

Although, the channel is believed to be looking for alternatives, Colors itself was not available for comment. Perhaps, Mallika should focus on snake charming, it's perhaps the only thing going for her. Or is it?

Mallika Sherawat allowed to attend, but no dance

Rajasthan University has cleared the way for Bollywood siren, Mallika Sherawat to appear at the inauguration of the office of the students union on Monday. However, she was not allowed to dance to the tunes of latest Bollywood songs.

The decision was taken by vice-chancellor, B L Sharma amid pressure from the students on Monday. On Sunday he had told TOI because of fear law and order situation going out of hand this program will not take place on the campus. The V-C but he was not available for comment.

This decision comes as a disappointment for students who were keen to see the glam girl dance item numbers. In the evening, they again requested the administration to allow the actress to perform, but in vain.

Parveen Kaler, president of union of research scholar said, "We will try to follow the university order, but if case she willingly decides to dance, we should not be held responsible." It is most likely she will display her dancing skills on the stage.

The organisers has left no stone unturned to publicise her appearance in the programme. The banners can be seen on key locations in the city besides pamphlets and SMSes are making the rounds among students. It is learnt that students have paid a hefty sum to the actress for her appearance.

"She'll be given a guard of honour in traditional style at the airport. She will be staying in a five- star hotel," said Kaler. All this has raised some serious questions as to how students will bear the financial burden of the program. According to the sources, the organisers are spending around Rs 30 lack for the event. They have made sitting arrangements for 5,000 students.

Television actor Sid Makkar is over the moon. The actor, who made his movie debut in K is Kis Ki Kismat opposite the sultry Mallika Sherawat, now has another international venture on hand, one that he is visibly excited about.

Sid has been cast by John Madden in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. He will begin shooting for his portions of the film from mid-November. When asked about how he bagged the role, the actor says, "It was a pretty straightforward route. I auditioned for the part and it worked at both ends." Elaborating on his role, Sid says, "My role may be small but it is an important one. I have scenes with a bunch of members from both, the Indian and the English cast." So, how does Sid see his growth as an actor in this industry? "When I did KKKK, I thought I was the luckiest guy on the planet.

After a long stay in Los Angeles, Bollywood's glamour girl Mallika Sherawat has returned to India. "The media (can u believe it? Lol;), my fans gave me such a gr8 welcome home @ the airport, even at 2AM! I m humbled," she posted a message on microblogging site Twitter after landing here Thursday morning.
