Shilpa gets sensual, to do bold scenes with Chinese actor

The actress has indulged in some intimate scenes in her next movie 'The Desire: A Journey of A Woman'



The last time we saw Shilpa Shetty on the big screen, she was prancing around on a beautiful beach in a two-piece with John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan for company.



And though her Dostana act attracted more eyeballs than she could have imagined, the Bollywood beauty is definitely in the mood to display more than just her much-envied figure.



Shilpa, who is playing an Oddisi dancer in her next film The Desire: A Journey of A Woman, has apparently indulged in some seriously bold sequences with co-star Xia Yu in the film.



"I had no qualms in doing these scenes as these sequences are an integral part of the film, and have been aesthetically shot, " says Shilpa.



Daring notes



It does looks like one of the most interesting characters Shilpa has essayed in her 17-year-long career.



Which is why it is not surprising that the actress would go to any lengths to make herself look convincing enough on screen.



Says a source, "In the film, a world famous Chinese painter is madly in love with Shilpa's character Gautami, but she does not really respond to him.



These sequences are a part of the story building up to how far their friendship goes."



The actress, who has been looking for a substantial script to come her way since her much-acclaimed performance in Anurag Basu's Life In A Metro, seems more than happy with this project.



"The film traces Gautami's journey through a number of years.



The love story is beautiful and the passion between the two characters is almost like a painting. I would say that it's my character Gautami, who is bold, and not the scenes per say, " explains Shilpa.

Shilpa Shetty is not pregnant

Fed up of congratulatory messages, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has finally spoken out about her rumoured pregnancy saying the news is not true. "Sick and tired of all the congratulatory msgs and calls, so for the last time 'I AM NOT PREGNANT'. All this is so annoying...grrrrrrrrr (sic)," Shilpa posted on micro-blogging site Twitter on Thursday.

Last week, the grapevine was abuzz that Shilpa, and her businessman husband, Raj Kundra, are expecting their first child together. They tied the knot in November 2009. Initially, Shilpa chose to deny the news in a subtle manner.

She tweeted: "To all my followers 'If, how and when I wish to make any personal announcement, is entirely MY (not the press') prerogative! As of now there's none to make. "I do know I am in the public domain, and everyone is curious, but these are sensitive issues, hence would appreciate the press respects my privacy. Thanks."

Shilpa Shetty paid a visit to her ancestral home at Mudaladi

Bollywood diva Shilpa Shetty has paid a visit to her ancestral home (moola mane) at Mudaladi adjacent to the popular Durga Parameshwari Temple at Kateel. Shilpa, accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra visited the house, which was redecorated in November 2009, at the time when the duo entered wedlock.

This is Shilpa’s first visit after her ancestral home got its facelift. Addressing the media, the actress stated that she could not visit the house earlier as she was busy with her shooting schedule. It is her affinity to her roots and her faith that made her coming back here. Shilpa accompanied by her husband Raj Kundra and mother Sunanda Shetty visited the Jarandaya Temple and Parameshwari Temple.

They later performed a naga pooja near Mudaladi. Shilpa’s mother had wished her to pay a visit to this ancestral house post wedding but she could not make it. Shilpa stated that her husband Raj too is a religious person and “He comes along with me, wherever I go!”

Shilpa Shetty and her family had a meal prepared by Sunanda Shetty’s aunty Kamala. The meal comprised of kori roti, idli, seer fish fry, payasam and rice. They were in the city just for a couple of hours after which they left for Mumbai.

Shilpa Shetty desires fair, equalized catching on IPL fiasco

Actress turned businesswoman Shilpa Shetty , who's distressed after the termination of her IPL team Rajasthan Royals (RR), says she wants a fair and balanced hearing over the matter.

"It's been a very distressing time for us all at RR after all we've put in (passion n time)," Shilpa wrote on microblogging site Twitter Thursday. "All we ask is for a fair and balanced hearing on issues raised, given the adverse national and international impact on 'Brand IPL' in the interests of fans and teams."

"Most importantly a transparent process and enquiry..allegation is that our ownership has changed since 2008. Thats Untrue," she said.

"The only change to ownership was the introduction of my husband Raj Kundra, for which we had full BCCI permission and support at the time," she added.

The IPL governing council (GC) terminated the contracts of Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab for violating the franchise pact. While Shilpa and her London-based husband Raj Kundra own Rajasthan Royals, actress Preity Zinta has a stake in Kings XI Punjab.

Shilpa had said at the time that she was "too shocked to react" to the termination. "This is for all those who want my reaction 'Honestly too shocked to react, just disheartened... cause it's more than just a team for us! Still haven't received the termination, will react after. Need to know the basis of this decision.' In London now (sic)," Shilpa tweeted at the time.

Shilpa Shetty's club hosts party, locals protest

Bandra resident Tanvir Nizam is up in arms against the revival of the nightclub, Poison, on Waterfield Road.

“My son had viral fever and I couldn’t take him to the hospital because of a party organised at the club,” said Nizam.

The nightclub, to be re-christened The Royalty, is run by actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra, in partnership with Prashant Gunjalkar.

Though the club is yet to be inaugurated, Gunjalkar had thrown a bash for IPL players on Sunday.

“I couldn’t take my car out as my building entrance was blocked by vehicles. I had to carry my son in my arms,” said Nizam.

Matters took an ugly turn when Nizam confronted one of the bouncers, insisting that he move the cars.

“He was misbehaving with me. I finally called the police,” Nizam said. After hearing the story, a policeman slapped the bouncer.

“The bouncer was acting funny,” an officer from Bandra police station said. When contacted, Gunjalkar told DNA:

“We have our licences in place and we had taken permission to throw a party.”

However, the incident has revived the protest against the nightclub. “They cannot have a nightclub in a residential area,” said Manuella Saldanha, secretary, Revival Citizen’s group. “The club is in a basement. If 150 people come here in their cars, where will they park?

What about the inconvenience caused to the residents?” The H(West) Federation will file a PIL on behalf of residents against other pubs on Waterfield Road. “They should find a special zone for the clubs,” said Anandini Thakoor, president, H(West) Federation.

Shilpa clarifies about Pakistani Players

Bollywood celebrity and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Shilpa Shetty has said that the non-inclusion of Pakistani players.

In IPL was by their availability and not nationality. She made it clear that she didn't want to take risk by selecting pakistani players.

Shilpa Shetty signs on Nagesh Kukunoor

Shilpa Shetty's long-in-the-pipeline film production plans are finally rolling. The actress has inked a deal with Nagesh Kukunoor to direct a film for her production house.

Kukunoor was among the B-Town folk who had attended Shilpa's wedding reception in November.

Though the actress is busy with her Indian Premier League pursuits, she is also keen that S2 Global Productions gets going.

While his John Abraham-starrer Aashayein is waiting to see the light of day though it was completed two years ago. There is also Yeh Hausla with Sameera Reddy and Karan Nath. The source continues, Shilpa feels her project will put Nagesh back in the reckoning despite his bad spell at the BO lately."Apparently, Shilpa has decided not to act in her production.

She hopes to rope in some leading B-Town stars, some of whom she knows personally well. When the actress launched her production house, she was keen on making a film to relaunch her sister Shamita. But the source points out, "At the moment, no decision has been made about the casting."

Freida Pinto insults Shilpa Shetty, refuses to pose with her

It seems like Freida Pinto's Hollywood hangover is far from over. Surprisingly the archetypal Mumbai girl during her visit.

At a recent launch of an international brand's luxury store was seen giving a cold snub to all the Bollywood hotties present.

Shilpa Shetty now Shilpa Kundra and Raj Kundra threw a lavish reception for their guests at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on Tuesday evening.

The who's who of Bollywood was present on the occasion to wish the newly married couple.

There was a huge buzz in the banquet hall when she Shilpa and Raj arrived hand in hand.

Shilpa donned a golden outfit designed by Tarun Tahiliani and with matching jewellery is from Anmol jewels. Raj Kundra sported a impressive black Sherwani.

The impressive guest list included Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri.

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Roshan, Rani Mukherjee, Fardeen Khan, Vivek Oberoi.

Sameera Reddy, Amisha Patel, Kangana Ranaut, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Manish Malhotra, Karan Johar, Vivek Oberoi, Govinda, Rekha and Jaya Pradha among others.

IPL boss Lalit Modi and Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel and Gujarat CM Narendra Modi were also present on the occasion.

Shilpa and Raj will dance on Akshay's song

Shilpa and her family left for Khandala for the wedding and other ceremonies on Thursday evening. The sangeet ceremony will be held on 21st November’s night at Shilpa’s friend and business partner Kiran Bawa’s farm house in Khandala.

Sources inform that Shilpa and Raj dance to Teri Ore song from Singh is Kinng which was picturised on Shilpa’s ex boyfriend Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

Sources further add that Shilpa’s family will perform a comedy skit in which they will imitate members of Raj’s family and then dance to Aahun Aahun from Love Aaj Kal.

A menu of delicious dishes is ready. The famous cook will be engaged in cooking mouthwatering dishes to be served during the reception.

Well it's finally confirmed. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra will tie the knot this November. The wedding which is scheduled for the 22nd of this month will surprisingly be devoid of.

The usual Bollywood friends and glitter. This comes as Shilpa and Raj arrived at a joint decision to keep the affair short and sweet.

However, two days after the actual wedding reception, Shilpa will be hosting another party for her colleagues from.

The industry, while the marriage itself is to be conducted at her business partner Kiran Bawa's farmhouse in Khandala. The venue of her wedding reception however, is still being kept under wraps.

Shilpa's sister who missed the engagement ceremony while being locked away in the Bigg Boss house apparently might also miss the wedding as the show isn't scheduled to end till the date.

The only option left is that she be evicted from the Bigg Boss house in time to make it for her sister's wedding.
